Deity's Compound pedals have a nylon body which may worry some, but the grip and feel has exceeded our expectations. Six long pins per side go a long way toward creating secure footing, and the nylon bodies slide over rocks more easily than standard metal varieties.

"Involved with the development process of this pedal from the beginning, our main goal with the Compounds was to offer the best quality pedal that was fully serviceable, featured metal replaceable pins, was thin, lightweight, but would save our customers a ton of money. Molded from a Nylon fiber blend, we are able to significantly reduce costs simply due to the material, but unlike most “plastic” pedals, the Compounds feature top shelf internals, pins, and can be fully rebuilt with minimal expense. They should retail for more considering our margin on them is very small, but our primary intention was to keep them affordable even if that meant a hit on margin on our end.
