Formerly known as the LS1+, the e*thirteen LG1 chainguide features everything e*thirteen guides are known for. The biggest difference is the steel backplate, which helps keep the cost down. Function is identical to e*thirteen's more expensive models, and has yet to let us down.

Specs and Highlights:
- Hardened nickel chromed steel backplate
- IFD direct mount bashguard
- Adjustable sliders w/ ring size indicator
- Captive plated steel slider hardware
- Bolt-and-go fixed position wearplate design
- 32-40t chainring range
- ISCG’05 (bb w/adp) or ISCG’Old(’03)
- Tech 3 stealth idler
- Blackout color
- Weight: 245g
- Price: $84

"Materials are definitely one of the first items to look at. We spent a bit more on the forming tooling for the steel backplate at start-up, but that really helped us to keep the price down as we moved into production. We also use the same plastics on all of our guides, and the increased volume of combining all of our guide together helps out as well. So our base guides get all the same functionality as our full carbon models." - Todd Bischoff, e*thirteen
