For next year, Smith has updated their goggles in a number of ways. Both the Squad MTB and Fuel V.2 see new colorways, as while the lenses get Smith’s new ChromaPop treatment. ChromaPop is said to enhance clarity and color allowing the wearer to see more detail on the trail in front of them. The treatment works by filtering out the color wavelengths that overlap in our vision. By doing so, Smith claims greater definition of natural color as well as unmatched clarity.
Smith also launched two signature athlete versions of their Squad MTB goggle. Both the Aaron Gwin and Brett Rheeder signature goggles were designed by the riders themselves, down to the colors, lens selection and strap graphics.
