Do you remember anything you didn't really like about it?
It was my first DH bike, so I didn't know any better andwas pretty happy with it all. Maybe the fork had too little travel, so I guess that.
Any fond memories or good stories that are attached to this bike?
I borrowed a Manitou X-Vert Carbon fork for Junior Worlds in Spain in 2000. This fork needed constant servicing as it would get rather sticky. Well, it packed up during my seeding run and I went flying over the bars. Reg Brench, who worked for Factory GT at the time, actually saw this huge crash from the lift. I had met Reg briefly at this race and he helped me out and we somehow ended up with a RockShox BoXXer for me to race on. I had a fractured wrist from the crash, but this being my first Worlds and a new BoXXer to ride, well safe to say I raced the finals.
