I don't think it matters much but my understanding is that this is all on the ESO right? The UCI handed them the keys for the next 8 years and said "have fun".
(Previously Red Bull owned the media and UCI owned the rules, now ESO makes the rules and owns the media rights except for World Champs).
UCI pulled it from Red Bull and handed the keys to ESO/WBD, so I wouldn’t say they’re off the hook.

Communique - Extreme weather / change of schedule Saturday DHI
Based on the latest weather forecast from the national weather forecasting service, the existing schedule for the UCI Downhill World Cup tomorrow, Saturday 26 August will not be possible as planned due to extreme wind speeds.
This safety decision has been made by the UCI, WBD Sports and the local organisers to ensure the welfare of the athletes, teams, marshals, volunteers, spectators and everyone working at the event.
A revised race schedule will be agreed and communicated at 06:15am tomorrow morning following a final weather forecast review.
If racing goes ahead, the schedule will be as follows:
07:30am – 08:30am Training, WE & ME combined.
09:00am – Final WE, 17 qualified riders.
09:45am – Final ME, 61 qualified riders.
If a further deterioration of the weather is predicted to coincide with this revised schedule the event will be postponed for the day & further updates will be communicated as appropriate.
Please ensure your tents and equipment across the paddock area are secured for high winds and heavy rain, and that your personnel are all safe.

my wife and kids gonna be stoked dad isn't yelling at the TV at 1am when Troy Brosnan drops in! Early start BABY!
Training 7:30 - 8:30am, then Women at 9. So if you're in the womens field and you have a mechanical and your 20 minutes each way to your pit, your basically fucked.
Honestly think it’s just going to be cancelled out right for the day. Maybe run semis in the afternoon once the rain let’s up, then unbroadcasted finals on Sunday. I imagine the same cameras are used to broadcast xc so the tv crew would be be busy

is it confirmed they are racing at the new schedule?
The race times on GCN+ have updated to the new times but I can’t find anything update wise on UCIMTB Series’ InstaGram (including DH qualifying results)
Did some riders manage to get a run in? GCN+ wasn't showing anything live, but the Live Timing site was showing some people having put in a time. Maybe something happened mid-race because a lot of people were down several minutes on the top time.

They had a practice session going this morning, they often have the live timing system on already on as they get ready for race day, we've seen that before.
The women’s race just finished and the flag behind the start hut during Vali’s start was being blown darn near straight, they’ve closed the road gap but it looked like wind still blew her a little awkward in corners.
What a joke then move it up then move it back only to screw pretty much everyone in top 10. Sounded like they could have run it at the revised start time and everyone would have same conditions but I bet they wanted to give the top guys a better chance and failed miserably.

Well it’s good to know the only one with enough say to get rid of semi finals at this point is the weather.
Healing vibes to Cami ❤️ a bummer to lose such a strong competitor.

Schedule is fucking wild.

Local times
Anyone who wants to witness ninja lines and absolute MASSACRE and carnage, Moi Moi seems to have caught every explosion known to man.
At 7 minutes, a ninja line.
At 11 minutes, you can watch Zwar's naked dislocated shoulder jump back in place .

Yeah. It’s postponed at the moment. Gcn says start time for women is now in 4 hours

What. A. Joke.

The organizers are now saying they will review the situation again at 12h00 CET (1hr15 from now). We'll keep you updated...

Racing to be resumed shortly. 30 minutes of practice at 1.45 and then finals
Yep, it's back on! New start time, 14h30 CET (05h30am PST).
I'm guessing the free viewing on youtubes gone now and we're back to paying for it on GCN
Only semis are free on YT, but there are no semis today due to the revised schedule.
