timed training is in and apparently dak's 400mm rise bars are plenty aero enough.

On the french raw video, Bruni was saying the speeds are so high up top neither the bikes nor riders have anything left at the bottom. Cathro saying it's absolute carnage down in the woods, broken bikes everywhere.
If the semi finals aren't broadcasted? what the hell is the point in it.
(Tin foil hat on) riders are going to complain they are absolutely pointless now > Gives UCI/ESO a reason to get rid of them next year (Tin foil hat off). In reality, decisions have been happening behind closed doors, so it's hard to understand what is going on.
Laurie Greenland, Ethan Craik, Charlie Hatton, Thibaut Daprela , Neko :o( and Bernard Kerr all outside the top 30 finishers.
Only Kerr is protected I think (impossible to find out who is or even the rankings on the useless UCI site).

Almost a horrible start to the year for the new Norco team. Cruz with the bad injury, Gracey didnt make finals and Greg makes it to finals by 1 or 2 riders. Gutted, was hoping for big things from them.
Also always blows my mind how tight the times are at the top of the leader board on a 4 minute + track.

It does feel like moving semis to a seperate day and not televising it just a precusor to just having top 30 qualifiers in finals.......which is what they wanted from day one. And then being able to condense the whole thing to 3 days.

3. if any riders as described under 1. and 2. above do not confirm participation at an event they will not be replaced.

3. if any riders as described under 1. and 2. above do not confirm participation at an event they will not be replaced
4. men and women junior riders ranked in the top 3 of the current UCI World Cup standings. At the first UCI World Cup round of the season there will be no protected junior riders.
5. If a rider is announced as retired, he is not eligible anymore as protected rider. The announcement of the retired status shall be done in writing to the UCI before 31 December of the previous year.
For the first UCI World Cup round of the season, the top 10 women elite and the top 20 men elite of the final UCI World Cup standings of the previous season are “protected” for the semi-final. They must start in the qualifying round but qualify automatically for the semi-final in any case. If the times of the protected riders are not among the 15 best times for women elite or the 60 best times for men elite, they shall be allowed to ride in the semi-final in addition to the 15 women elite and 60 men elite riders already qualified.

Vital RAW from this morning. Lawlor reported that he thinks it rained before or during semis, making it tricky for earlier riders. unsure how much rain.
re: rain in semis, here's what jack rice said - "last quarter of men's semi was raining, so loose dirt at top probably had good grip." sounds like the dust/loose at top was tough to navigate and rained helped.

everyone is so pinned already!
Junior practice video!
I might be almost as stoked about seeing Dak up top as he is! I know, it’s just timed training, but still
get ‘em, boy!
I rode with him a few weeks ago, he said he hasn't ridden it.

Junior finals will be broadcasted on Discovery, not sure about YT. They showed U23 XCO, so maybe also junior DH?
Edit: Juniors will be live on YT https://ucimtbworldseries.com/news/where-to-watch-fort-william. No mention of elite semis, likely they won't be broadcasted.
Surely they’re going to broadcast semis today.
where's the semi's broadcast?
Looks like definitely no broadcast for semis. The YT channel now shows the scheduled junior finals stream for tomorrow.
It really is a piss take that Vital RAW is the best coverage of world cup DH events we've seen both last & this season.
Just watched the UCI practice wrap on YouTube and it was rubbish in comparison.

Looks like Vali made a mistake in sector 3 that cost her the quali win. Nicole, Farina, and Blewitt did not make the cut.
I've seen that some riders will get a rerun, not sure if it applies to any of the 3 you've listed.
But we brought 134 influence-tubers to come hear about our new gold fork.

top 3 on the same TENTH of a second! so insane! time to switch up some team riders LOL
johan will have results up shortly
Would have been nice to see that race.
Times were all over the place compared to qualies.
Were riders fatigued? Wind/weather?

top 3 times...mental.
Incredible video by the folks at MTB news.de. Feels like being there. You really get a feel for the track.

It is a shit show because there is no show. Teams should boycott the race and make clear that there should be return on investment
