Good to see Noga Korem back in the Top 5 at Loudenvielle.  Was it ever revealed why GT let her go mid-season?

I know why but am not at liberty to talk about it.

not 100% but very strong pit rumours that the GT DH team Will be disbanded at end of year.

Apparently having 1 guy doing media(that shouldnt even have to) is more beneficial.
(this is a rumour from the fact Wyn, Dean, jack & BK are doing more media than discovery)

I had a chat with Wyn a few weeks ago at Schladming and he was pretty stoked on how the GT program (as a whole) was going.  If GT decided to get out of DH, it wouldn't be impossible, but highly surprising/unlikely.

I’m really stoked to be a pretty strong support of the team. Wyn has been a good friend of mine for a while now and being able to support him also just feels good. Pinky and Craik are doing so damn good and yes, that new dh bike, it goes!

I've heard the rumors also. Just hoping they are only that.

If gt pulls out I think that’s the sign of pretty dark horizons in downhill especially with the eso mucking about.

dak got 2nd place yesterday but how many people saw it?  If you only watch semis you saw him for 8 seconds of largely inconsequential track and no result of real significance.  For the cost of running a World Cup team you have to seriously question the return.  Now I do think gt is getting a huge return from wyn.  But they can still employ him and one mechanic to do the privateer project and cut out a huge portion of budget.  Which is a shame because their team is undoubtedly performing well especially the last couple rounds.  I doubt their members will have a hard time finding new gigs but it will be hard to find gigs on a team of that caliper.  Especially if the rumors of several other mid to large teams folding is true.

I believe next year is going to be very dark for racing. At least on a world stage.

Definitely! Can see a lot of riders and teams just walking away. The way the events are setting up now… some not making the main event, and making it harder and harder to do so…. Can’t be cheap get riders flown in from around the world and not making it even into the semifinals…… and then to turn round and say ‘I just wasn’t feeling it this weekend’ The boss is probably like ‘how about my shoe in your ass… you feel that!?’

plus, there’s a lot of riders that just seem pretty vocal/salty… you are being paid to ride a bike…enjoy it while you can, won’t last forever.

Why would any team stay in enduro honestly? There’s absolutely zero coverage or exposure besides what the racers put out themselves. No return on investment. Discovery has mangled the DH and more so enduro racing. Bike companies will be pulling the plug on gravity race teams and you can’t blame them.

I don't have any info, but GT just released a new bike that seems to be hot and Mondraker seem to be working on a fresh Summum too. it doesn't make sense to drop their programmes, but it doesn't mean they won't, just like it's been said before. The MS Mondraker Team seems to be having a lot of riders this year, but doesn't get too much exposure, especially on TV. This must hurt.

I also don't understand what the advantage is that ESO thinks it is getting from running the new format with Semifinals, really now. I think it is only extra exposure for those who ALREADY have the exposure and you can't see it on TV anyway. When I say ”TV”, I mean cable network EuroSport, a whole different beat to the EuroSport app.

Might be old news, but Bruni just said (or confirmed) on the Full Attack you tube debrief that Dak Norton does not have a team next year. Is Intense folding or is it just him not being renewed?

Just because he doesn’t have a contract with intense at the moment doesn’t mean he can’t be resigned.  But one would think dak has the results and media attention being the number one us guy to potentially sign with a bigger team that can pay him a much bigger salary.  Gwin and intense stepped up to give him an opportunity to stay on the circuit with a high caliber team and its’s worked out for everyone involved.  But it’s doubtful they have budget to pay what some other teams can in terms of salary.  Whether it’s him moving onto be number one for a smaller team or joining one of the big time companies who like to have several podium threats and have the budget to make it happen.

There are a lot of riders who should not be on a team next year, but DN is not one of them

bruni was saying dak doesn't have a team, has a bike that's not great, and despite all that,  Dak could still pull off second place. Bruni sounded stoked for dak, but it did not look like Dak was choosing to move on.

I fully agree Dak deserves a good bike and a solid team, early in the silly season, so that he gets time on the bike etc.

I've been corrected in my assertion that multiple large teams are leaving.
One is definitely dropping electric moped racers/racing in 2024
One team is becoming 2 separate teams, which is actually gonna be cool in a weird way.
Two teams with the manufacturer as the primary sponsor are done.
A rider has definitely asked about moving to other teams openly in the pits.

A rider from an island in the pacific was spotted testing a bike from also an island in the pacific, complaining about shifting and some calluses in his bare hands.

- rider could be laurie, but i would like to know why. maybe next victim to greg's mindgames as we've heard before?

- one team splitting in two could be yeti back in DH-racing additionally to enduro.

rest i have no clue at all Smile

With all the combined DH and EWS rounds I just hope that Jesse Melamed has been passing along tips to all the riders for expert level team rumours trolling.

I've heard EDR may move to e-bikes only. I can see that happening but still, it would be a major shake-up.

Mondraker DH Team to shut its doors

why would greenland leave the syndicate?

I bet Mondraker pulls out, not MS. Markus loves racing and will keep going with the team, just with a new bike.

Laurie's contract is up I bet so he is shopping, as he should be.

I wouldn't be surprised to here FMD wrapping it up. Kaos is done with racing and Tahnee can probably get more money on the open market than working for the family business. Tahnee made mention of taking over more of her career management on the Sleeper podcast. It wouldn't be a bad time to take retirement as the sponsorship dollars are looking more challenging.

Wyn was talking a lot about getting into the broadcasting game on a video last week with Dean Lucas, once again this discussion becomes so much more interesting with the rumors of GT swirling. Could we see Wyn and Gwin in the booth together???

One Teams splitting up...

Pivot Factory Racing splitting their efforts in EDR with Eddie at the realm and DH with Bernard?

Which would be cool in a weird way 😂

One Frenchie is considering treking of to YouTube.

Loris off Trek and headed for YT?
Loris is 3 years aboard a Trek, most contracts are 2-3 years...

Would leave Trek in an interesting position without a podium guy. If they keep Reece, he could maybe get back up to that level but it's a big unknown. Kade sounds like he will likely be done racing after this year and if not, is a guy trying to make finals at this point.
