Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav and the Motion Picture Group’s co-chairs and CEOs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy have hammered out a new strategic partnership deal with Tom Cruise that takes effect this year.

"The jersey shall be a long-sleeved shirt whose sleeves extend down to the rider's wrists. Jerseys used in downhill events should be of a type specifically designed and sold for use in BMX Racing or Mountain Bike downhill events. Jerseys designed for road cycling, skinsuits, or one-piece suits comprising the jersey and the pants/shorts are not permitted for use in downhill events.
The jersey must be either close fitting around the waist or must be tucked into the pants before the start to not cause interference."

Honestly, that MX suit looks fine to me, you can barely tell they are not wearing onesies in most races (DH and MX).
I actually bought a TLD oversender to wear on days after rain to reduce the amount of mud being flicked inside my jersey and pants.
A onesie for daily MTBing could be really interesting as it might allow for larger less floppy pockets in the lower back (like road bibs), but getting the sizing right would be really hard, I imagine that MX is a custm fit.
i measure up ppl proportionally each day, probably quite hard to make something that tight fitting that fits all. leg and arms lengths are all over the spectrum
Listening to The Ride companion podcast with Bernard Kerr one thing he mentioned stood out to me.
Discovery/ESO don't understand mountain biking. He mentioned it focused on Enduro but it applies to DH as well.
That's how we end up with the lack of story telling / buildup of excitement throughout practice, qualifying, semis, and finals. It's also how we end up with drone shots from far away or shots that don't show the rider's lower body or bike, and cutting away from the rider mid run to show the team manager.
ESO simply isn't run by mountain bike racing fans. Additionally ESO is only focused on being the only one making money off of mountain bike racing coverage. If the sport gets smaller they don't care as long as they are making the money from it.

on the vital mx post race show for A1 they talk about the suit. ML made it seem like it was coming to MTB but IDK if he know the rules. He also talks about how its a very tailored fit and its only being built per rider currently.

Has anyone seen any information to confirm that u21 EDR racing is going ahead this year. They scrapped masters without telling anyone in 2023 and I can’t seem to find any confirmation of a continuation of u21 racing

Did they scrap Master's racing? There were multiple masters categories at all enduro world cups with Open racing in 2023. You can't have a "masters world cup" really. Well you could. But with the shift from EWS to World Cup EDR, it makes sense to leave the masters racing in the Open category.
Anyway, to answer your question, I hope there will be an U21 category for enduro world cups in '24, as anything else would be a catastrophe.

Has anyone seen any information even suggesting that U21 is getting the elbow?
Are the people posing all these questions casting doubt on the future of WC enduro racing supporting it's demise? *
*I don't believe that's the case, but I also don't believe that negative insinuations in order to create conversation works in it's favour either

thanks! in 2024 news, can i just say that i can't wait to see amaury on the track again? assuming he's healthy, he's going to mix up everything 2023 was about : )
Jackson vs Amaury vs Bruni vs Finn vs the pack of wild dogs nipping at all their heals is going to be glorious in '24. Now only if there was a reasonable to actually watch it.
results and a couple pics from bootleg this past weekend and Southwest Regional Gravity Championships. Asa won by 30 seconds. Fields weren't huge, but January #USDH is always good. There wasn't a Pro Women's class. just Cat 1 and below
30 second margin? Sheeeesh. I don't know all of that Pro field, but the ones I do know are not slow. By any means.
Used to, pros drove all over the country to get a couple UCI points and were chomping at the bit to find a DH race too.
Bootleg used to be a STACKED field this time of year just to get in a race.
i homepage this as well, but danny following eddie in Queenstown for the NZ southern DH series...holy crap they're gnarly! they just gap and float and smash without a flinch.
if anyone has links to race results for stuff like this, blast them here or send 'em to me and i can post.
I wonder how Ric and Cedric factor into this .

Chris Ball literally created the EWS
Yes.
Then he sold it and hasn't been seen all of last season.

To all the SoCal natives, who is the next AG on that Results sheet?
Call your shot!
The one with the win by 8 seconds
Austin and Teagan both won by 8 seconds.
I don't think I realized Dooley is only 22. Good deal.
I was referring to a sleeper DH "dabbler" new to the scene. Dooley has raced Juniors and is putting in the long work.
I'm more referring to the meteor you've spotted & thought "Uh oh. If it clicks..."
Never mind. This is the Southridge DH Chosen One:

It is, as are almost all the Downtimes, excellent!
Truth.
The Inside Line pod has also been very much on point lately, well done Spomer.
