Yeah, there are plenty of pictures of him riding in that jersey from last season.
Hopefully, nobody in here is actually a detective for their job...

Yep, and it's written Mavic, Formula and SR Suntour on his jersey.
Where are on his camouflaged bike the Mavic wheels, rims or tires ? Where are the Formula rotors (there are clearly some Sram), where is the Suntour Rux (same, those are clearly Boxxers lowers ? Since when the Mondraker Summum have this thin rear triangle (https://www.mondraker.com/uploads/images/pages/trackwalk-ii-18-jpg_1900…) ?
My guesses are actually on a jersey borrowed to his brother (Antoine) who maybe rides for Voulvoul Racing in 2019, when Baptiste will be on a Commençal. Why not with Benoit Coulanges, in the Dorval Team, it would be a great addition.
Don’t overlook at this, Baptiste He’s wearing the worlds championship jersey that VoulVoul Racing and Kenny made for that very occasion !
VVR already announced that...

VVR already announced that Baptiste and his brother Antoine will not race for them in 2019.
So that is a 2018 jersey. And not a Summum camouflaged.

I think one of these companies like Trek, Intense, Atherton, Santa Cruz, etc should post on this forum first. Maybe just a half hour or so before it goes public on main page here or PB. Show us some love for our commitment to the speculations and rumors. Clearly we are the deepest invested group of super fans to the brands, riders, and teams news. Return the love companies. Or at least make us feel special for just a few minutes.
If you were setting up a new bike brand, you would want an investor on board.

Even if this comes to nothing it's the best red herring thus far, so intricate.
With team announcements fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to look back and some of the early pronouncements in this thread and see who was dropping knowledge and who was dribbling crap. These posts are from August-December.
Now we'll know who to believe in the 2020 Racing Rumors thread!

Gwin and Neko are going back on Trek Frames for 2019-2020. I know a guy who know's a guy....
muddymurphy
Athertons to Marin on the grape vine...
Even if they were bringing a dh bike out it’s a strange move with no real racing experience behind the bike. maybe it’s the only brand that would have the athertons as a collective team?

Yep - Athertons got ditched by Trek - new factory team comming with Harrison, Wilson and Edwards
ClaudioFinale Nov 8, 2018
Finally the big question was revealed, Gwin to Intense with Neko and Jack Moir.
Today, during the launch of Tazer in Europe, a conversation between journalists and the European manager confirmed it.
Great movement from Intense that signs its neighbor of Temecula. We'll see what Gwin can do with one of the best paddock bikes.
Dean Lucas signed with Scott, new French team that replaces Velosolutions Scott, with Brendan as team mate
Charlie Harrison, Reece Wilson, and Charlie Hatton part of the new Factory team of Trek
Athertons moving to Marin Bikes
YT Mob will keep Angel Suarez and will join Vali Höll under the management of Martin Whiteley
Ratboy with Cannondale as 'manager' of the new team
well, go and check my posts of the last seasons, any mistake when I'm said that is confirmed.
Hi again, for those that are asking how's Intense able to pay AG here is the explanation.
The factory of Intense in Taiwan, Fritz Jou (they make some big brands as Canyon, Scott, Cannondale to name some) bought a part of Intense Cycles and wants to put them at the top of sales of the boutique brands. Then they're investing to do the Factory Racing program still bigger than now, and with the last movements they will count with a potential not seen for years in the brand.
Gwin can win every race, Mulally is a serious contender for the podium at each race plus the progression of Moir the last couple seasons achieving some podiums and been close of the victory put them at the top of the World Cup teams together with Santacruz Syndicate, Specialized Gravity, Saracen, and Commençal Vallnord.

Yup. In house team [Trek] with Gwin. Heard they're paying him 1.5m
Dickscruttock
Athertons to Marin, Gwin to Scott.
Mtbrealtalk
Andrew Shandro's kid makes up a third of a Factory Team for next year too. Shouldn't too hard to guess which.
Also, Brayton won't be on Nukeproof Trail bikes...
Steeezzz
Reece Wilson and Charlie Harrison to Trek
Gwin, Neko, Moir on Intense
There's a certain tone of voice that comes off in a post from someone who really knows what the hell they're talking about. Half of those posts say Athertons to Marin. 3/10 Gwin to Trek, 2/10 Gwin too Intense. Iff I counted right. Feel free to correct or dislike.
The Gwin to Trek seems to go up in smoke isn’t it. The Athertons to Marin still strikes me as odd. You would have two similar bikes (Polygon/Marin) at two different teams. What is in it for the owner of Polygon/Marin? Do they expect to get more street credibility for Marin?

YES! Marin has always been the laid back hippy roots brand from the birthplace of mountain biking. Since those legendary Mount Tam trails and fire roads aren't available to ride, why not take it straight to the World Cup? They've already hired Matt Jones in the freestyle category, to great effect (They've got me subscribed at least.) the next obvious step is a DH race team, easily realized through their relationship, ownership, with Polygon, who have a very successful race team. (Which was one of the few to beat Ratchel at the World Cups.)
Apologies to my former English teacher mother for any run on sentences.
And it would be credibility for Both teams of the top two racers all funneling back to one company.

Do we know Hutchinson UR is on Polygon for 2019? I can't remember seeing anything, which I'm guessing means that program is the same for this year.

Tracey just posted a pic of her Polygon in Queenstown and thanking Fabien for his help. And Mick posted a pic of his Polygon in the Colorado snow. So yes...?

I am 40+ So the Marin name has a ring to it for me
It could be that the owner of Polygon/Marin wants to kick both brands into our attention, but still... Norco?!? Who will be riding/managing the team for one of the best race bikes out there? Athertons would be a perfect match, not?
