This was always the case. She's said so numerous times throughout the 2018 season.

Obviously I’m guessing but it seems to me that Claudio is stepping back after his brain injury. Maybe he just doesn’t feel up to managing a team right now?
Maybe he got a big payout from his injury and wants a better bus?

I heard something today... Word is that the asking price is 500,000 to be title sponsor for the Mob... I would assume that to be an annual number.. That seems like a huge number for a company like intense... But, if the Atherton/Trek split is happening, it would seem most likely we see Aaron, Neko , and Angel on Sessions next year...
You can almost tripple that amount... ;-)

But who knows... Maybe Intense has a rich investor or so...

If this is true, then where will Blenki and Joe Smith go?

And what about Gaetan Vigè and Brendog`?

In light of the big team bus sale going on....

In PBs article on team rumors Ben Walker (project manager with Scott bikes) said that Brendon is staying with Scott. It has been rumor for long time that they are going factory without Claudios Velosolutions.

Big news: Aaron Gwin confirmed that he will leave the Mob, but that they will stay with YT. Please check the comments in his last post. He did not say where he is going...but my money would be on Trek. I would also assume that Angel Suarez will stay with YT. He was testing the 29er Tues just recently.

Re.: Loris Vergier. Spoke to him at the World Champs. He will stay with Santa Cruz.

Sounded like he will be leaving both the MOB and YT. My money is on Trek or intense, since they already have a 29er DH bike.

Or both bikes are Bronsons? If anything both bikes have wheels that look to small to be 29ers.

Also, interesting about Gwin...

Except Bronson never came in that colorway and has the shock layout akin on the bike on the right.
The colorway happens to be stock HTLT. Both these dudes are pretty tall so the wheels look smaller.

it's a Hightower LT and a Bronson 27.5, I think it's just the angle effect of the photo.

the brown one it's minaars Hightower LT (in XXL, it makes the wheels look smaller)
The photographer just PMd me that Loris bike is a standard Bronson (and not a 29er prototype in bronson colorway).
Funny thing is - the bronson is using an X2 shock - as the bronson officially does not fit an X2 :-)

Regardless the height, the tires are really really meaty and the rims thick for a 29er. And the stanchions on the forks look long for a 29er fork.

EDIT: so i guess it is just the angle of the photo. Oh well... Still seems strange to me, even if it is Minnaar's XXL bike.

What I find interesting is the quote "...things happen I guess, wasn't my decision".

Could be as simple as the contract was coming to an end and they couldn’t keep up with his current costs or the future rise so are letting him go so the can keep the rest of their programme.

Gwin to get out of racing and just manage the team......no contracts needed if it's your team, right?

"Wasn't my decision..." Which part? Leaving YT? Leaving the Mob? The Mob leaving Gwin? So many questions....

There is money involved there will always be a contract with someone. I don't see him out of racing though.

Me too...

This post blew out my theory I had posted previously...

I'm guessing Martin put a good chunk of cash into the team and now owns it... YT is rumored to be having cash flow issues... The best way to keep the current Mob going is to cut out Aaron and Neko and get in a couple of lower paychecks... Probably will be 23 degrees riders...

As for Aaron asking for triple of the amount I posted earlier, he would price himself onto the couch...

I know this is no rumour but....why does the bronson not fit a X2?

I believe ari can and piggybag clearnce with the frame, and I believe, as with most frames with similar issues, depends on frame size... check mtbr forum...

Gwin has proved time and time again that he feels he is worth a certain figure. You see other guys riding no matter what the situation is financially; they love the sport and do what they have to to make it happen. If the money isn't there then Gwin isn't there. So who is left that can hang with that kind of cash? Trek, Specialized, Giant.... ? Guess we will know soon enough, nobody wants to have to stop building a mansion. Not a rumor

Gwin is getting all the money he can while he can. Who can blame him? People complain that MTBers aren’t paid like other sports but when Gwin does everything he has to to get paid like he feels he should it’s the other ride for the love of the sport. If Gwin hand was ever forced maybe he does something different but right now he has the upper hand and talking full advantage of it. Good for him. He knows careers are short. He is friends with guys like EC, Houseman, Tomac, etc.. he sees what they have now and the work they have to do. He is securing his future so he doesn’t HAVE to do what some of those guys are doing after they were done. He still can if he wants but he has options.
