Why would EXT let people butcher their products at home. Very few people can even set up suspension correctly let alone have the tools and brains to maintenance these.

It's a good question and a fair comparison. I had the chance to ride with the POC in the same season at the same place and have some thoughts: the POC is warmer, especially in the back. When taking it off after the day, there was always pockets of sweat that I had to empty before laying it to air out. also the straps of the ION are better and the fit when it absorbs the temperature of the body is also better. Would have appreciated the comparison to the obvious competition - the ubiquitous POC VPD system torso. Any thoughts on this dethroning what seems to be the most widely used chest/spine system on the market? Specifically looking for comfort and coverage differences.

I have cracked a TR38 rear rim with the same result. Cracked bead, still straight, NOBL made me whole. Was perfect till it wasn't. I think this is just life with carbon rims on the back of a gravity bike. They are durable but when they go, there's no bend the lip back and finish running it till final death (and they will eventually go.)

I've had no less than 4 sets of TR38 and every single one was flawless, stayed true and never had a crack. Now, I run DD/tough casing rear tires, so that could be the ticket. The new G2 rims have no decals, you can add if you want, but will be interference free on truing stand. Definitely want to try the new Pro5, my old Pro4's were indestructible. I've pretty much given up on I9 with my rider weight (220 lbs), i've broke two 1/1 hubs and also feel the Hydra's rolling resistence is noticably slower than DT350's. Had a...

Just found out Italian moto doesn’t allow tear offs so guys run this cable that the tear off is supposed to stay attached to and dangle off the back. Can you imagine if you have to do this on a DH race?

Hey J, The shock was tuned to how EXT felt the shock should behave according to my input. It appears that one of us was wrong. The shock was supplied with two spring rates, which one of them was spot on. The first part of the test wasn't good and it wasn't hidden. It was the combination of using too light of a spring, a very heavy bike and #justaintcare riding style. Since fixing the shock for another bike, and taking the time to properly tune it, it feels and works great without any sign of getting loose. I did...
