Nothing like a nice snowy day to cancel work so I could  build up a bike. Was looking for a fast fun trail bike that doesn’t mind getting tossed around. Was kinda torn between this and the Yeti SB120 LR. Not sure on the weight. It feels lighter than my Ripmo but heavier than my son’s Shadowcat so maybe 27.5-28.5. The DHF I ordered for the front still hasn’t arrived so I tossed the Dissector on there for now. It has a full vinyl wrap with Flat Black and Gloss black accents.

I haven’t had any issues running EXO tires. I’d say your weight and ride style has more to do with whether a tire will or won’t last. I’m 175lbs with gear. So below average weight wise. I have a precise and active riding style. I prefer to jump over Jank rather than ride through it. I’m definitely not a plow rider by any means. Tire pressure and wheel choice are also factors. Sensible tires pressures will save your tires and your wheels. I run 23-28psi front and 25-30psi on the rear depending on the trail. So for Loma I ride 25 front 27 rear. 18 road 24 front 26 rear. Moab 28 front 30 rear. Here on the Front Range 26 front 28 rear. No inserts. Around here I find that the EXO casing tires don’t have the best traction until they have a at least a hundred miles on them. I definitely prefer my 35mm internal Ibis wheels on my Ripmo to the 30mm internal ENVE wheels with tires 2.4-2.5” wide. The 30mm internals work better with 2.1-2.3 Tires. The wider wheels support and flatten out the tire a bit better. They hook up easier and much harder in the corners. But this is what works for me and it might not work for others.

My EMRG Cura Lover brake levers showed up a couple weeks ago. Night and day improvements across the board for the Curas. Much more power and a much lighter lever feel. Since I brake with my middle fingers the longer lever works better for me as well.

I’m 6’ even 34” inseam. This is a M/L at 477mm reach it fits me like a glove. The BikeYoke dropper has 213mm drop. I have the post almost totally bottomed out in the frame. So the bottom of the post sits just above the shock. Which would be fine if the cable routing wasn’t so wonky. The cable pops out of the frame on the right side then needs to go under the shock to the other side of the frame then up through a little loop and then on up to the post. Luckily with the BikeYoke I can rotate the actuator to the left to take some of the bend out of the cable. Then you need to slowly work the post down and the cable back into the frame mm by mm. Every other carbon frame I have built you can simply push the post in and pull the cable out at the head tube. 
Since you’re getting a large frame and running a One up dropper that has a shorter insertion the install might be slightly easier. The dropper lever I run is old school as well. I run them because they look and feel exactly like a SRAM shift lever. The cable end is at the lever and is cut to length at the post. Most levers these days you cut the cable at the lever. Which would have made the install much easier. Other than this the fit and finish of the frame is really good. Very similar to Pivot or Yeti.
