Specialized Pitch Pro EVO 15

General Info
Here is my latest project.
This Specialized Pitch Pro from 2011 has been taken to it’s limits, I think…
So, where to start? First the frame. I got it second hand from a user at the pinkbike buy and sell. There were some dents here an there, so after stripping the original paint, I applied aluminum filling. After a lot of sanding, prep and masking I achieved my objective of making a paint job similar to one of my all time favorites, the Loic Bruni specialized Demo from 2016, used in the Loudes and Cairns world cups.
To improve the geometry of the bike I installed a -1 degree headset from works components and offset bushings. This combined with the 170 Lyric forks, slackens the bike to 64 degrees, while keeping the bb height at the original height, which was pretty good. The seat tube angle is about 76 degrees.
Other details include the hope brakes, the short cranks, the V11 pedals, and last but not least the garbaruk cassette and chainring (bling bling).
I also manage to squeeze in a strap under the bottle cage and route the dropper post cable internally, through a cable routing hole on the downtube.
I’m proud of this bike, it’s stable and jibby but the fact I’m certainly most proud of is being able to revive a neglected bike and turn it into a modern-ish 26 inch, enduro/trail machine.
Cheers!!
