fwiw, last year was the first year we ever had to pay to get lawlor his creds at a world cup. $3k for the races we attended. it's not a budget killer for us, but $3k goes along way on other projects for us.

Why are you being such a narc? Quite a few people in here can't post the concrete information they know as they could be identified as the leaker. Leave the dude alone, it's called rumours for a reason.

Huge favor, but can you all screenshot and hard post instagram stuff instead of linking. Especially if it’s an instagram story? Some of us don’t have any Instagram and can’t view the links. Plus if it’s a story, it’ll be gone in 24hrs even if you can view it. Cheers mates!

I like Dak but I think some vital users have a slightly biased view on him. Sick guy, love listening to him, still very fast. But I think it’s very healthy and appropriate for sports teams to sign new younger talent.

I am not one to dis someone but that guy is sooooo annoying announcing DH. He seems perfect for the pits and maybe in corral post race but commentating he is super in accurate with what he is saying - ____ ALMOST OUT THE FRONT DOOR every 3rd rider. The nonsense that dribbles out of him is just an embarrassment. It's gotta be crazy hard but they need to replace him. Rewatching all the races from 2025 and if my wife is the room I have to put headphones so she doesnt have listen to him!

Jacks announcement took a few of us by surprise last night. It's sad that one of the best riders in the world, arguably the most charismatic too is unable to secure a ride for next year and in some ways, coerced into retirement. I hope he finds a role somewhere, he would be a fantastic "face" of a company. The content would be top level. Jack is majorly responsible for MTB in Australia spreading so far, his influence on youngsters and his personal approach to grassroots racing that I have seen first hand is commendable. He truly is one of...

Given there was a B Practice podcast where he talked about not having something lined up at that time doesn't make it seem very likely Dak left by his choice.

We had the chance to do some battery testing with Specialized’s Turbo Levo 4 to get some stats on range. I did a test where I did same loop in each mode to see how time/battery consumption/power compared, plus a battery draining ride with a range extender. It was more for exercise, but it was cool (and pretty tiring haha) to see how different modes ate battery, and how far you actually can go on a full-size eeb. I’d be curious to know what kind of range other riders are getting from their bikes. Feel free to list out your...

What are you going on about? A bike is only useful for a region because of some made up ratio keyboard warriors use to justify their geo. Been riding EVILS for years, all over Europe , US, Canada, South America. They ride amazing everywhere. If you actually learn how to ride a bike with a short chain stay, your mystical golden ratio of bike useability is a crock of nonsense. That's coming from someone who has ridden 1.7-1.93's. You can ride the rubber off all of them, they just require different rider inputs to maximize the handling characteristics. Full stop...

Thanks for the note & we are happy to be here! To be completely honest, I think this question is better posed toward companies that refused to tread into Superboost territory in the first place. We don't need any convincing - we still believe in the benefits of Superboost, although at the end of the day, we are a business who's goal is to actually sell bikes. The market spoke loud & clear on this one, and Boost came out on top. At the end of the day, Superboost has inarguable benefits in both strength and clearance. The elephant in...

I happen to ride an XL. We thoroughly acknowledge the logic behind size specific chainstays, although we are a business, and like any, we need to make cost/benefit decisions. For a bike to "feel" exactly the same throughout an entire size range, every dimension needs to be scaled accordingly. That includes it's components - most notably, wheel size (axle height). We hear the argument for size specific chainstays, although from business & physics perspectives, it is a much more complicated subject than most care to acknowledge. At the end of the day, this bike in an XL kicks ass. Come...

I think everyone here agrees that we would absolutely love to see the Undead rise again. I mean, it is in the name after all... That said, for a small company like us, a DH bike is a passion project much more than it would be a smart business decision. Perhaps someday, although it's going to take the market recovering, and us sitting comfortably before that's going to happen.

Thanks & great question - it's a longer answer than we can reasonably sum up here, but we'll do our best. Your assessment is correct - an "agile" ride character has always been somewhat of a hallmark here at Evil. We try to walk the line between agile/fun, and stable/confident. Short stays make for fun wheelies & jumps, thus, we've always stayed on the shorter side. There's a great argument for size-specific chainstay lengths - that much, we do not debate. Our rear triangles are a relatively complex mold. Molds are quite expensive. Introducing another rear triangle mold increases total...

The assertion that e-bikes decrease fitness is widespread. On the surface, the reasoning appears sound: riders often feel like they have expended more energy after a normal ride compared to an e-bike ride. Therefore, normal bikes must provide superior fitness benefits, right? Not quite. This surface-level analysis misses several crucial insights about how fitness actually works. Let's start with a simple fact: work done is work done, regardless of the bicycle beneath you. If you maintain the same effort level on an e-bike as you would on a traditional bike, you'll simply travel farther in the same time. In this...
