So you have to either choose more of a trail bike or a freeride bike as an enduro, not a 160mm bike

Well, when you look at the what the EWS/EDR guys racing, the spectral might be “enough” when it comes to suspension travel. But take that statement with a proper grain of salt.

I feel like photos of this caliper have floated around on here before, but it's a nice close-up. It's paired with an XTR lever... I am really hoping that new Saint brakes are released this year.

The Syndicate are keen to see how the new Shimano brake performs here in Loudenvielle.

The hot weather and long steep track should put this brake through its paces and go through these pads pretty fast too.

I've heard two dates for new saint, and that's either this September releasing with a high profile bike, or next March, and I don't remember which one is right.

LBS Confirmed this for me, they're a yeti dealer, said SB160/165 both going 6 finity

Wondering if there's any signs of an expected release date.

I would also love to know a release date. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of a 6finity pedal bike.

Did they say anything about the other bikes in the lineup? I feel like the sb140 would also go 6finity given how beloved the mte is

That's a really dumb move by Canyon (unless new strive is coming), that's a bike no one want's to pedal. Released today and size M & L "coming soon in September-October", so they sold out those sizes in release day? Yeah right.

Haha, yeah that was me! I saw it again two weeks ago, it was full of telemetry devices this time. I asked when it was coming out and the guy tried to tell me it was a Pivot this time 'round. Can't imagine how it doesn't get released later this summer/fall as a '27 model considering how tidy it currently looks and the fact they are riding it at high noon on the most popular trail network in the Golden. Might need to just post up in the bushes with a camera next time...

Was told he thought everything but ASR was switching, I'll ask more when I go borrow an edc tap next week. Don't know about timing yet.

Yeti has released bikes in the fall going back so that's what I would expect and was told for this new batch.

It’s a Pivot 🤣

Someone needs to teach that guy how to lie to bike nerds better… at least call it a Specialized or any brand that’s not married to DW link… rookie

I heard July for the new yeti, but that was a few months ago so it might have slipped by now… wasn’t able to get much info, basically wanted to know if it was just an analog LTe but idk. I assume that’s what it is but bike companies like to tweak things so much it’ll probably have like different anti rise or something.

Linkage driven 4bar. For a 5bar you also need a flex pivot for it to actually move in space.

Three new bikes dropping from Whyte today, two regular mountain bikes and one Avinox M2S-powered eeb. Brief overview below:

Sythe

Whyte-Bikes-Sythe-RS-Chilli-Red-Side-On-160mm.jpg?VersionId=RvRmLA8sI37fW7ez.zYi

The Sythe is a 170/160mm alloy enduro bike built for steeper, faster and more technical riding. With Quad-Link suspension, adjustable geometry and MX compatibility, it’s designed for riders who prioritize descending performance but still want a bike they can pedal all day. Sythe is offered in two build options - the S and RS. The former offers the same incredible value as all Whyte’s S-level kits, this time thanks to the Marzocchi Bomber Z1s and Bomber Air piggyback shock. Meanwhile the RS version adds a dose more ‘Rally’ into the mix thanks to a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 fork and Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2 shock, with SRAM Eagle 1x12 drivetrain and TRP EVO Expert brakes to name but a few upgrades. And all for a properly fair price.

  • Available in S, M, L + XL sizes.
  • Sythe S: SRP £2199 / €2599
  • Sythe RS: SRP£3199 / €4099

Learn more at whytebikes.com/sythe.

Syphon

Whyte-Bikes-Syphon-S-Aquamarine-Side-On-140mm

The Syphon is a 140/135mm trail bike designed to replace the T-140. It’s alloy with Quad-Link suspension, full 29er wheels and adjustable geometry. The Syphon S retails for £2199 / €2599.

Learn more at whytebikes.com/syphon.

Karve

Whyte-Karve-RS-white.jpg?VersionId=NRSdajxKT7JL2AfO

The Karve is a 160/160mm version of the Karve EVO. It’s a full-power eMTB designed for trail and enduro riding. It’s aimed at riders who want the added power and range of the Avinox system. The RSX model is full-carbon fiber. Full 29er wheels. Available in two models – Karve RS and Karve RSX – here are some of the highlights:

  • 160mm front + 160mm rear of proven Quad-Link 4 suspension, with carefully custom-tuned rear shocks.
  • Choice of two frames: full-carbon fiber (Karve RSX), or carbon fiber front triangle with aluminum rear triangle (Karve RS) – both with lifetime frame and pivot-bearing warranties.
  • Powered by Avinox's very latest M2S full-torque (up to 150Nm), full-power (1300W peak) motor system + DPC100 OLED top-tube touchscreen display.
  • 800Wh battery – concealed in the downtube and barely noticeable.
  • Full 29er set-up – ready to be converted to MX (mixed)/‘mullet’ by swapping out a different Shape. It Link.
  • Available in S, M, L + XL sizes.
  • Full-carbon fibre framed Karve RSX model protected with RideWrap (85% coverage) straight from the factory.
  • Karve RS: SRP £5650 / €6499
  • Karve RSX: SRP £7799 / €8699

What's interesting is that there are two hoses getting out, and I don't really see a shifter or something else mounted on another photo:

Intersting!

Are there 2 seperate brake lines coming out of the lever?

Pedal bikes all in cheaper aluminum these days?

Mondraker, Canyon, Whyte,...

Carbon tooling and development cost reserved for mopeds.

Or one frame for various models as Cube, Trek, Last, Orbea, etc do

Did anyone read the new Dorado doesn't have a steerer tube, just a threaded rod to compress the bearings? Pretty interesting concept.

Intend had in on their Intend Infinity DH fork too, worked great, just less adjustment possible

Those are custom crowns for Reese. I’d be very surprised if they made it onto the production model.

just get a different length bolt and you can go up and down without having to worry about steerer tube length.

sb 160/140 dropped in september 2022, so my guess will be around the same time frame this year.
