Pidcock signs w/ Q.36.5 for 3 years; their bike sponsor is Scott so guessing that means there's at least a chance he'll be racing XCO/XCC.
Very interested in seeing him and Nino go head-to-head on the same bike...

I wouldn’t be shocked if he came out riding his Pinarelo with Scott decals, Pidcock had a lot of say in the design of that bike and seems to get his way and the billionaire that owns Q36.5 also owns Pinarello. I suspect the whole team will switch bikes whenever the Scott contract ends or gets bought out.

Huh, hadn't thought about that but it's a great point. IIRC the Scott contract only has 1 year left...
Regional DH racing in Colorado/New Mexico has been growing big time the last few years, lots of young racers coming up. The new "SoCal" DH series last year, Neko/Gwinn and company killing it on the East Coast, and the US Open rolling strong.
I'd much rather see North American DH racing grow and spread than the UCI-Euro-Cup money grab that Chris Ball has fostered.
Bring back the old days when all the fast Euros and Aussies came over to the US to race and make $!

on the Cyclingnews piece about hims 2 days ago, they said he might ride SCOTT on the road, but Pinarello for the XCO as a privateer/britishcycling.
or he might join Scott-Sram and ride Scott but I think Nino would prefer he stays out of it
2025 is: the last contract year of Scott with Q36.5 and the last contract year of Pina with Ineos. and Glasenberg owns Pinarello. so...
It's obviously not a surprise but when a company like Trek with a bike like the Slash to sell can't see the value in competing at the EDR it really hammers the point .
Under normal circumstances Hattie would have her pick of teams , but at the moment ? Hope she finds something decent for next year .

Jolanda Neff departing Trek! I did not see this coming.
Jolanda Neff, Anton Cooper, Hattie Harnden, Bodhi Kuhn, Loris Vergier, and Reece Wilson all off Trek. Is Trek cutting their sponsorship way back, or are they about to announce a whole bunch of new signings?

Maybe it's good for Enduro to fall from where it's at and fall back to what made it cool in the first place. Ditch the big teams with big tents, let's go back to riders just going out on big days on big stages finding out who can win the war of attrition.
I have talked to a few top 20 riders who have said the atmosphere amongst the riders during the races is awesome and everyone is having a great time. they are also fully aware that it's not translating to viewership or bringing out crowds however they still love being out there seeing who's the fastest.
If snow DH is worth the UCi's time and effort, Enduro has no reason to not stay. It just needs to change so that expectations from everyone else can too.
You are correct, 'Dig' is Jorge's personal account. We had a good run! Now time to re-create it!
Jorge is and was a joke and a terrible team manager. He ran off all the teams good talent (minus Valen) as well as their sponsors. Maybe in the future if he’s ever given a chance to work with a team he’ll try honesty and professionalism over his own personal gain.

When you digging for cash, racing would be one of the first things to go. Trek's probably hurting the worst out of all the big names. They'll have sponsored athletes at races but I don't think it's gonna be anywhere near as big for a few years.

BGR Mondraker/Ohlins Team Announced
Saint Charles, IA - BGR Mondraker/Ohlins is pleased to announce a two-rider team focusing on the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series Championship. Downhill racers Kallie Stewart and Carson Morgan join team manager Clint Mongan for the team’s inaugural season in 2025.
Kallie Stewart is fresh off a Monster Energy DH championship in the 15-16 Cat 1 girls class and will be making the jump to the Pro Class in 2025. “I’m really excited to have the best people and brands in my corner for this important part of my career,” the 15-year-old said. “I can’t wait to get started!”
Carson Morgan also had an impressive 2024 season as the top 15-year-old in the 15-16 Cat 1 class and will fight for the championship in 2025. “I’m stoked to be joining BGR Mondraker/Ohlins,” said Morgan. “I’ve spent a little time on the bike, and I can already tell it's a bike I can win on.
Boone Gravity Racing owner Clint Mongan has been developing youth talent for the past three seasons and is excited for this new opportunity to continue his passion in 2025 at the nation's biggest events.
“The main goal for this new team in its first years is to assist young racers with World Cup potential in getting the support they need early in their careers to reach that elite level. When BGR Mondraker/Ohlins becomes synonymous with that level of success, then the business and investment side of it will take care of itself.
Additionally, the team will partner with Pedro’s Bike Care to create a neutral support area for all the privateer racers who need to service their bikes and equipment to safely complete at the Monster Energy Pro Downhill events
Is this Saint Charles, IA actually Iowa?!?! Does that mean the DH team, or some sponsor, base is in Iowa? How do you run a downHILL team in Iowa haha, I've been there and didn't see any hill. Just curious!
With the announced closure of teams and some more solidified rumors, does anyone have an updated list of which teams are able to be World Series teams?

Do you have any facts? Unless you want to spill details it’s pretty wack to disparage someone. Cause you keep talking shit without saying a thing.
You are correct, 'Dig' is Jorge's personal account. We had a good run! Now time to re-create it!
Huge shout out to Lars and the rest of the crew for putting together something really cool with TFR. To see that much energy and resources put into junior women's WC racing is just unreal. That team had a LOT of success in its short run. And keep in mind that iteration of the TR11 was pretty new when they put it hot on the circuit. Valen has serious talent and focus, we hope she lands with a good squad next year.
Not related to the transition stuff above, but considering Martin Maes is following FMD on instagram and the only other teams he follows are his previous teams and brands, I think it's quite clear what is going to happen with Orbea and FMD after the Orbea shut down. Would be interesting to see how FMD does enduro stuff or combine into one team and do both enduro an DH, maybe a little like YT is doing already. Didn't think they'd go for a brand like Orbea though.

The fact that Bodhi Kuhn is moving on surprised me . The other two were pretty obvious
Who’s gonna ride for TFR ( Trek ) in 2025?
Really nice post from TFR.

I’d like to see Trek, Transition and other US based bike manufacturers really focus on USDH with support and dedicated teams.

Watch the Session, buy the Slash.
At a guess .. Ollie, Lachie, Matt, and Sacha

Ollie Davis

Anyone else feel like the rumored Loris to Commencal would be boring?
Nope.
One Jumbo Tuned Mass Damper.
Bingo.

Yep, that’s the Ollie im referring to.
I wonder if Shandro is going to be there when the dust settles..

Henri Keifer on the new canyon DH bike now. Could assume from this that him and Ostgasrd both on the factory team in 25?
