WINNING BIKE - Laurie Greenland's Mondraker Summum 29 / 27.5 11

The Mondraker that took Laurie Greenland to his first World Cup Downhill win today in Val di Sole.

Laurie Greenland took his first UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill win today in Val di Sole, Italy. The most technical and rough course of the year was tamed under Greenland's loose-but-focused style. His winning margin was fairly significant at nearly 3 seconds over series leader, Loic Bruni who finished 2nd. In 2016, Laurie earned the silver medal at the MTB World Championships in Val di Sole.

Laurie rode his Mondraker Summum with 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel and it was his 4th World Cup DH on the setup. He has been working on refining both bike setup and riding style this off-season and throughout the race season. While still exciting to watch, he proactively calmed his riding style down a bit and altered settings and geometry to let the bike do more of the work on course.
