Additional Info

so this is a project that took me a little over seven months to complete, grabbing a few hours here and there. its mostly made with T45 alloy steel but the swingarm is chromoly and there's some 304 stainless in there too. its based off the Brooklyn Machine Works race link but with modern geo and the inspiration for the eccentric dropouts came directly from the starling sturn.

the finishing kit isn't anything spectacular but she is kind of like a test mule at the moment until I'm happy its up to the job, a recent trip to Dyfi has put some of my worries to bed for sure!

i had to acquire a tig welder, a small lathe and mill to make as many of the parts in house, the jackshaft assembly was the most painless part but making my own BB cups was a challenge.

i used the linkage x3 software to dial in the suspension kinematics.

i tried to film as much of the process and post it here https://www.youtube.com/@projectpiratebikes
