Epic build! Also, excelent pictures. I noticed a metal sticker on the rear chainstay right behind the chainring. Is that custom? If not, can you share what brand/model and where you got it? I have a ransom and that exact spot is chipped.

That is not really comparable as Dangerholm's bikes are completely custom. There is hardly any part that you can go and buy off the shelf. Everything is either manufactured as one-off, homebrew or highly customized - paint stripped etc.. It's like comparing nicely specced and tuned M3 to a kit car.

Am I the only one who doesn't get the whole Downduro thing?
Aren't modern enduro bikes with the newest breed of big single crown forks (38s or ZEBs) capable enough without screwing with the geometry like a DH fork?
I'm not hating here, this build is really sick, I just don't see the rational behind it... Happy to hear some other opinions here!

Yes, kind of... they have someone who specifically makes it for them, but it is a known option, that you have to specifically ask for. The trunion mount is so deep into the frame nothing else works without some modification. It was a bit of an up charge, but well worth it to run the ohlins nice and clean.

When I did this I checked deep into the numbers. The axle to crown for a DH fork is only about10-15mm more than the rxf36 m.2 I had on there...so it screws with it slightly (.1 inches higher BB, 1 degree slacker HA. I actually wanted the slacker HA, and got 30mm of more travel out of the front end. Bars can be exact same height.

Now this is t a perfect bike by any means. Heavier for pedaling up for sure, sucks for technical climbing. But climbing fire roads in this thing and having a blast for “smashy bike” time descending. I also have a more trail oriented bike for that style. It will be a great park bike once lifts open here again, or shuttles.

Again, not the perfect everything bike...but a hell of a lot of fun!

Danger Holm' Gambler is sub 14kg.
I did build one XL with Öhlins at 15.3kg, wonder how much it would weight with a dropper and an Eagle cassette tho

That's endless debate, front and rear tires don't need to work the same way...
It performed well on the front this season and is still in perfect shape compared to the DD at the back, I weight 75kg and the tracks in Portes du Soleil are not that rocky
