Scott went back to the drawing board for 2017 on their Soldier lineup of pads. which are now more breathable and lighter thanks to a redesigned D3O pad inside. The D3O pad now features hexagon shapes which help distribute the load and allow the pad to move a bit easier to improve comfort. These are intended for the enduro and all-mountain crowd, are strapless, and designed to be very comfortable. The D3O material hardens on impact but is soft otherwise.
