Fed up with outdated and often problematic hub designs, Russ Kappius took it upon himself to improve the system. His hubs feature an incredible 240 points of engagement. That equates to just 1.5 degrees of movement before the hub's pawls catch again. How does it work internally? Four pairs of pawls catch 60 teeth, and each pair is offset by a small amount from the other pairs.
