The Ohlins shock has just the 3 positions of high speed compression, and they are more like modes than actually clicks of adjustments. So this seems like a really useful idea, seeing as pos. 1 is ideal for super rough chunk, pos. 2 is more supportive as a great all-around setting, and pos. 3 is even more supportive for sprinting or big jumps (think motorway). So I'd guess: upper section is pos. 2, middle section/woods is pos. 1 , and bottom is 2 to start and 3 to finish.

Now that Ochain has an externally adjustable version, I've been day dreaming of a bar mount lever to change settings for different conditions. Lock it out for sprinting, full open for max chunk, etc. 

F1 drivers manage several different setting adjustments throughout a lap, Im sure the elite DH riders could figure it out.
