Newmen have come up with a clever way to make your handlebar width adjustable. The grip screw into a threaded insert in the bar end, and then clamps down with a regular single lockring once you have reach the desired position. This is pretty cool for OEM builds or rental fleets for example, where you might need an easy way to adjust the handlebar width for each customer. If you ride different types of trails as well, for example you might want to go wider for the bike park and narrower for those tight overgrown enduro trails. Pretty nifty. The grips can be mounted on a regular par as well, in which case they just behave like normal grips.
