Schwalbe Tacky Chan

This project began in 2019, when the main Commencal DH team was looking for an improved version of the Magic Mary and Big Betty. After seeing the team spend their time cutting the side blocks of the Big Betty to make the tire less abrupt in transitioning to the side knobs, work began on this new pattern. The new prototype tire was ridden by Thibaut Daprela in 2021, after which some more changes were requested (he crashed twice in World Champs that year...not the best start for the new tire!) Since then, the designers hit the jackpot and the wins have been racking up at an impressive rate. The tire will be available in 6 different versions, both 27.5 and 29 or course, with either DH or trail casings (Super Downhill, Super Gravity, and Super Trail). 2.4 is the main width being pushed now at launch.
