2017 Marin Highlights Including the $1500 Hawk Hill One Note

You are looking at Marin's Hawk Hill One Note, a new bike for 2017. The Hawk Hill is a 120mm platform with a simplified 4-bar linkage in the rear. Spec'd as shown here, this bike will go for just $1,500 in the US! At that price point you still find a modern, aggressive trail geometry featuring longer reach and little goodies like 27mm rims and Stealth dropper compatibility with internal routing. It includes a 1x drivetrain for the US and many other markets. The 2x drivetrain shown here is available only in Germany. Closed dropouts in the rear run a quick release configuration off the shelf but can be converted to a 142mm thru-axle as the rider progresses. The theme of the Hawk Hill is providing a good bike for entry-level riders with an eye to evolution. We approve!

Also new from Marin are three new pro level builds on the Mount Vision, Attack Trail, and Rift Zone bikes. Moving away from BOS suspension and XTR setups, these now favor RockShox suspension and SRAM Eagle packages. Marin has also gone to wider rims across their range. On the aluminum versions of the Attack Trail and Mount Vision, Marin have now re-tooled and gone longer on reach and slacker overall. These changes will likely follow in the carbon versions, but they've gone first on the aluminum builds.
