Scott's unbeatable Grenage Pro II knee pads get even better for 2017 in the form of the new Grenade EVO. They still feature an incredibly comfortable fit, but lose a bit of bulk, a bit of weight, and gain some added protection and breathability.
On the comfort side of things, a new elastic portion runs along the backside of the calf to remove a sometimes troublesome tight spot.
The outer finish on the kneecap is no longer rubberized to allow the pads to slide a bit better when you do take a tumble.
The inner D3O pad now wraps further around the kneecap to provide more protection on the sides of your knee. Scott's Ben Walker described the new shape of the D3O pad to us in terms of suspension. It features dozens of hexagon shapes to absorb medium sized hits better, is backed by a solid piece of D30 for the big hits, and new grey-colored foam pad soaks up all the little stuff.
