While you may be thinking this is just a stem, its not. This Hope AM/FR stem is cream of the crop, it comes in all the great high quality anodized Hope finishes (except green). The stem is extremely well made with tight tolerances, stiff construction, high quality steel bolts, torque specs written on stem for every bolt, detailed design, machined out everywhere, and relatively low stack height, comes with specific and detailed installation instructions ( ie top bolts tight first), and looks great to boot. When paired with the Hope head doctor stem cap, bolt, spacers, and even upper headset you have an entire stem and front end system that cannot be matched by any other company out there. Not only that but of course you have to be brand and color compliant across your other Hope Tech components to really set your bike off. Hope makes this stem available in 31.8mm and 35mm bar diameters, with all the normal lengths (50mm (pictured). Not only is this stem engineered to take a beating, it is absolutely stunning. The only downside to this stem is that its expensive ($120 USD) and will leave you craving more high quality Hope parts and color matching. Hope this review was helpful, cheers!
