This fun look at Justin Leov's past comes from 1996, when he was a green belt in karate and racing motocross competitively in New Zealand at just 11 years old. He'd go on to begin a 10 year World Cup DH career in 2002, securing 3 World Cup podiums, winning some US national events, a few New Zealand Nation Champ titles, Crankworx Garbanzo, and importantly having a major impact on the careers of Aaron Gwin and his compatriots Sam Blenkinsop, Cam Cole and Brook MacDonald. It's pretty rad that his moto idol, Jeremy McGrath, rides mountain bikes too.

Leov is currently training for the upcoming 2014 Enduro World Series and flying the Trek Factory Racing colors.

Take a spin around Deans Bank trail in Wanaka, New Zealand, not far from Leov's home.
