Dinner solved a mystery. We all wondered how the younger guys trained tirelessly for 12 hours a day. What was their secret? I'll tell you. In a single sitting I watched Dustin Gilding polish off, no joke: a french toast platter with bacon and eggs, an order of pancakes with a side of toast with extra butter and jam, Nick's untouched pile of mashed potatoes smothered in suspect gravy, my sweet potato fries, a few tootsie rolls, about five doughnuts, and a 20oz Mountain Dew. All that before booking it back to the hill for a night session in the Highland Training Center.
