Snow, rain, wet, mud and near-freezing conditions didn't stop the first Enduro World Series from taking place in Zermatt. The race was extremely abbreviated with only two stages, but we'll take any racing at this point and the competitors agreed. Jesse Melamed took the EWS victory in the sloppy conditions while Isabeau Courdurier walloped the Elite Women's class by over 20 seconds. Sven Martin and @maddogboris fight the freeze and wander in the wet to deliver the incredible racing stories.
Jesse Melamed takes the EWS win in Zermatt. The Canadian stomped on the gas on stage 1 to create a margin too large for Martin Maes to make up. Just 4 seconds separated Jesse and Martin at the end of racing. @maddogboris

Antoine Vidal won the Junior race even with an injured leg after a crash in training. On Stage 2 he was 20 seconds faster than the second-fastest stage time from Jamie Edmondson in Elites. @maddogboris
