Is Troy a chronic brake dragger?? Seems crazy that one of the lightest guys on the circuit, running 27.5 wheels, needs bigger rotors and is worried about brakes overheating.

Testing the difference in temperature doesn't necessarily mean being worried about it, but give these guys any minimal advantage and they are going to take it. Especially if it means their hands might get a bit less tired (or it that braking might be a bit easier with tired hands).

Larger surface area of the rotor also means better heat dissipation, that could mean more consistent feel the whole way down the track.
