The RockShox / Lapierre electronic suspension system gets a few big updates for the new year in the form of a more compact control center, as well as a repositioned and resized battery.
Previously the control center was a heads up display that sat on top of the steerer. It’s now much sleeker and sits to the side of the stem, allowing you to flip the bike over for repairs without worry. For 2015 the system has 3 auto modes instead of 5, simplifying things a bit. In the auto mode it automatically switches between locked, pedal platform, and open depending on the terrain, using inputs from sensors on the fork and and cranks to determine the best mode. You can still control it manually if you’d like using buttons on the control center.
The battery used to take place of the water bottle, but is now beside it, allowing the use of a bottle cage if you’d like.
