Greg Minnaar and the Santa Cruz Syndicate have new V10cc 29ers for Fort William. Unfortunately, Greg won't be racing because he broke his arm. Regardless, we had the chance to drool over the new machine and got some details from Santa Cruz Engineer, Nick Anderson. Last year (and in Croatia this year), the team raced on 29ers that had production 27.5 V10 front triangles and Nick nods that the bikes were tough to get right. The new bike we see here features new, production front and rear triangles with custom links. They're still working on the final details of geometry and bottom bracket height with these links, but "they're close." Greg indicated that the new bike is longer and finally fits him. Loris Vergier and Luca Shaw will be on them tomorrow during the first practice session.
