Snow in the summer? We were just as surprised to see white flurries as we were this new Sensor X build kit from GT Bikes.
When we previously tested the Sensor we felt as though the 130mm bike was capable of much more, but was held back by the uninspiring spec. It had a 32mm stanchion fork, long stem, skinny bars, mediocre tires, and 3X drivetrain. GT took the feedback we and others provided to heart, and the Sensor X is their response to our cries. The new build features a 150mm RockShox Pike fork, 50mm stem, 780mm wide bars, 2.4-inch tires, and a 1X drivetrain with an optional 42-tooth add-on cassette cog.
The Sensor X will be available Pro ($3,999) and Expert models, both of which have an aluminum alloy frame.
