The height of the pivot changed a good deal from the old Gambler. As a result, the new Gambler absorbs square edged hit much better. However, by increasing the height of the pivot they introduced more pedal feedback into the system. Scott felt that it was a good compromise, though, considering pedaling characteristics aren't usually the first priority on DH bikes.
