Formula's newest brakes fall right in-between the C1 and R1 in terms of price and performance. Because they have a sealed cartridge design, the forged body doesn't need expensive precise internal machining, helping to keep the cost down a bit.
The CR1 features a bleed port on the front, lever reach adjustment, and a plastic bushing that can be replaced to adjust the push rod angle.
The CR3 features a 2-piece lever with a tucked away tool-free reach adjust. You can change the push rod angle for softer/firmer progression using the PLA adjustment.
