Been very fortunate with warranties over the years. Very good experience from the following :

Kona - frame

Forbidden - frame

Fox - csu

Ext - stanchions and csu

Chromag- wheel, frame; crash replacement handlebar

Shimano - brakes, shoes

SRAM - kind of good with axs eagle. Not great with transmission stuff.

Only a minor one with Ohlins. Had a 640 spring that was rubbing hard enough on the shock body to feel it on deep compressions. They immediately shipped me a new spring free of charge and made sure it solved the issue.

-2023 Giant Reign E+ : cracked rocker link, replaced in under a week and Giant paid for a bearing service on the frame, great service. Same day warranty approval.

-2023 Giant Defy Advanced Pro : cracked seat tube, frame replaced in under a week, great service. Same day warranty approval.

-i9 Hydra rear hub : cracked axle, replaced in under a week service was very good they answered same day.

-Rockshox Reverb AXS : a collar broke inside, repaired in two weeks. Same post broke again a few rides later and Rockshox sent a new dropper in a week (sold it)

-Rockshox ZEB Select+ 2024 : CSU creaking very loud, CSUs are currently B/O at SRAM, very slow service.

-Rockshox ZEB Ultimate 2025 : bushing play to the point you can hear knocking when rocking the fork, warranty claim to be done after the season (brand new fork)

surprised you got bushing play on a zeb given that they're always tight af

Bushing play is now a thing on 2025 ZEBs with the revised bushings taken from the Boxxer.

Seems like Rockshox are now on the looser side instead of being sometimes very tight on previous ZEBs.

Dam I was just about to order the new zeb, maybe not a good idea?

Second-hand Specialized enduro with 2 years of use, cracked headset cup. I took it to Specialized dealer, no questions asked, and got a new S-works frame, but it took almost 2 months due to Covid restrictions. New headset and bottom bracket, they also provided a new lifetime warranty on my name.

I own two Thule UpRide racks, and unfortunately, both have started showing significant issues just one week after the warranty expired. Several of the ratchets stopped working properly, and the locking mechanism broke. I was able to fix the locking issue temporarily with a washer I had in my car, but that’s far from an ideal solution.

I reached out to Thule support and sent them four emails. Their response? They don’t have any spare parts for the broken components and closed my case without offering any help, resolution, or even a suggestion on how to fix the problem. No support, no solutions, just a closed case.

It's been a really frustrating experience. For the price of these racks, I expected a lot more in terms of both product durability and customer service. After this ordeal, I can’t recommend Thule UpRide to anyone. For a premium product, this has been a complete letdown. If you're considering these racks, I’d advise looking elsewhere.

Damn guys, when I see how many frames/parts you're going through, I understand why some bikes companies have gone bankrupt hahaha

On my side I've had only a frame warranty over the last 2 years. It was on a 2018 Al Canyon Spectral (cracked on both side where the seatstays connect to the links due to bad alignment i guess). I've only good things to say about their CS (at least the one based in France/Europe). After sending them my request + photos, they agreed on the warranty without further questions and proposed me a 2021 CFR frame (so full carbon) as a replacement. I've had only to send the cracked frame back and to pay the shipment of the new one (great deal for the upgrade if you ask me). The whole process might have taken 2/3 weeks in total.

I've read all your stories with great interest, and I have identified few takeaways:

- I feel the CS quality for big brands is really dependent on the region you're in. I guess buying local (Europe, NA,...) is a significant plus in case you need to launch a warranty process (for Ex. CS experience for Canyon in the US might be totally different than what you can experience in EU)

- At the beginning of DTC brands, people were shitting on them saying that they were killing LBS, that the CS and warranty was a nightmare to deal with (as it's remote only) and bla bla bla. Truth seems to be that many guys in here have bypassed their LBS to deal directly with the brand(s), having experienced delays and questionable service from the shop itself

- I thought premium brands were less prone to having quality issues (I mean if I pay 7/8k for a bike that break without a proper reason other than quality, damn I would be pretty upset). But I feel they gain more their reputation in how they handle the CS and the warranty aspects. Like some of you have broken several frames/parts of the same brand, yet you are still very much loyal to it. In the end everything, cheap or not, breaks more or less at some point, and as some of you suggested, it might be time to question the whole industry about how it handle manufacturing quality (or its pricing policy lol)

Recent personal warranty experiences (within last year):

Specialized - Levo motor started making really awful noises 11 months after I bought it.  Took it in to one of their dealers nearby, the guy listened to it for like 2sec and agreed that it was a warranty.  Unfortunately that particular dealer didn't have any replacement motors on hand so it took like 2 weeks for new motor to get there.  Cost to me $0.  Spec rating - excellent.  Shop rating - good (other shops in the area apparently carry brand new motors for this sort of thing).

SRAM - had some weird shifting going on one of my Transmission derailleurs.  It required micro-adjust to be set fully outboard and was still slow going to smaller cogs.  I did a bunch of troubleshooting swapping parts between my 2 bikes and isolated the problem to the derailleur.  Local shop contacted SRAM, they took over and talked to me directly, agreed something was wrong with the RD.  Sent a new RD upper (minus cage assembly) to shop for free, I picked it up on my way home.  Took all of 5 mins to install the replacement and it worked perfect.  SRAM & shop rating - excellent

Recent warranty experiences by others (within last year):

My brother bought a used YT Decoy, with a frame that had been repainted.  First the X2 shock started slurping within a few rides. My brother contacted Fox, and even though he was second owner and shock was out of warranty, they said send it in and pay the $160 service fee, and they sent him a brand new 2025 one back.  A few weeks after that, the Shimano EP8 motor started failing inexplicably.  It was also out of warranty.  He tried troubleshooting it and couldn't figure out what was wrong.  Took it in to a shop, who determined that the previous owner hadn't fully secured the wiring harness back in the frame when reassembling after painting, which caused the harness to rub through against the clip, and also tug on the connector to the motor, damaging the connection there.  Shimano won't sell motor parts, told the shop to buy a new motor for $1,200.  YT sent a free replacement wiring harness even though he was second owner, but took about a week to respond to his email.  Shop charged a pretty reasonable amount of money to diagnose the issue and install new motor and harness.  The guy who sold the bike to him split the cost of the new motor.  Ratings:  Fox - excellent.  Shop - excellent.  YT - good.  Shimano - terrible.
