A back-to-back series of World Cup Downhill concludes with a bike-abuser's favorite venue, Val di Sole, Italy! The infamous Black Snake track is historically unforgiving and known to break bodies and bikes. The DH race is on Saturday this week with XC on Sunday, so get ready for the action.
Fantasy should open up on Wednesday mid-day.

Weather on Friday and Saturday looks great while Thursday looks wet in the morning...a great way to start the week there HA!

Wonder how much Drag Dakota's hair causes. He could probably shave 4 seconds with a haircut.

The "Josh Bryceland" bits crack me up every time: https://youtu.be/yzrxYxsKDT8?t=131, I wonder what the chances are of of ever seeming him in WC again?
(I'm guessing low to none but I can dream...)
the rat boy rip is so good! and have the roots always looked this gross?? holy cow!
I remember them being that horrible last year too, albeit covered w/ dust so they were harder to see...
This track is looking amazing!
I can't wait to see the practice POVs and RAWs to see the lines riders pick and the way they manage the tech
Watching Ronan this season has been great, but I miss Jackson, hope he heals up and comes back at 100% next year.
those aint roots man those are BRANCHES. underground tree trunks. the idea that this may be a wet race and seeing track sections like that... so gnarly. cant wait to absolutely make a dogs breakfast of my fantasy picks again

also, start lists aren't in yet (an entry list in but not official start list). according to the race book, today was supposed to be the day but maybe the delicious italian food sent everyone to bed early. fantasy will open tomorrow which still gives two days to make picks.
Track walk with Amaury and Myriam:
hauser POV in the freaking mud. #impossible
vital DH fantasy val di sole is open for picks.
this is a saturday race, so teams must be made by 10pm PST Friday (about 37 hours from now).

And, right on schedule, as I mentioned potentially removing Amaury from my team as he still needs time to get up to speed... He starts droppin hammers. Well shit. Will be interesting to see how things unfold for qualies and semis with conditions changing.

The gaps in time tell you how slippery and tough the track was today haha
Also the GOAT in 13th LFG!
Looks like BK's weekend is over.
F! that sucks! Here's Vital RAW from today

Seems like they might need to use some tubular glue to keep the tires on?
that can’t be reliable losing 1/2 your sealant per run.
Flashback to Marshy with a caulking gun loaded w/ Liquid Nails (or something similar) to glue Greg's tires onto the rims a few years back...
Race run glue brother. Race run.
I knew I’d seen it somewhere!
There's only a couple mechanics do it. And don't think they advertise it. It's not a secret.
But man, I would LOVE to see some local yokal anal retentive racer boy try it while I see how their first ditch effort at guessing what glue and how long it sets up and the outcome when they get up there for a one shot race run without a World Cup mechanic behind them.
Practice day highlights from the organizers:
Ugh, wasn't that the same rock that Tahnee crashed on last year?
