The last race of the 2024 World Cup season is upon us at the classic Mont-Sainte-Anne venue. Hot off the heels of a fantastic US Open weekend, this is the place to post about MSA.
Weather looks chilly, but clear so far.

pit bits bike weight video. have also been told track is rad with some good changes.
BK's trackwalk.
that slab section near the end is so scary looking. it's always mind-blowing how fast they go through there with all those nasty rocks aiming at their faces.
Weather looks reasonably good. Especially compared to the rainy European “summer”.
Yeah the track looks insane this year. The mix of fresh berms and jumps, right into completely untouched raw sections with annoyingly placed rocks and roots is awesome. I always get nervous that they're going to change MSA too much, but they always leave the sections that make it iconic. I swear the lower rock garden looks more messed every year haha
PB just posted that Asa's out w/ a fractured T6...
Wasn’t that already revealed least week at US Open.
I THINK the message had been suggesting he was taking the time off so he'd be able to do MSA.
I kind of assumed if he wasn't riding last week that he'd probably not be riding this week...but I just turn 170 years old so I don't remember how quickly these kids these days bounce back with all their nutrition and doctors and good attitude and recovery days and hope for the future.
I actually recorded a podcast with Asa today to chat about his first season racing World Cups—the highs, lows, lessons learned, and all that good stuff. The podcast is live, and YouTube is uploading now. Was a really fun convo and it was sweet to get to know a bit more about Asa. A full Inside Line podcast with him is for sure needed in the future.
Yup, he's out for MSA. There wasn't much of a question if he would try to race after finding out the state of his back injury. But as you'll hear in the conversation, Asa has ridden injured all season, so for him, it was tough to make the call to not push through and still race.
Also Wyn TV track walk
