I put a hot dog in the leg of my boxxer to serve as a softer bottom-out elastomer. It adds a little water weight but it feels really plush now....

Here i have used a M6 thread and installed it with Hex-bolts, look better and easier to install. Its a moded Halo Spin Doctor

And here is my Kore stem wich i have cut the clamp in two pieces like a BMX clamp. Not much for weightreduction but the looks is also important Wink , though the paint is bad.

My 831 is hitting my Mob frame when I spin the bars. It doesn't stop completely, but it is noticeable. I have an internal headset, so my steer tube is already cut too short for an external. I really don't want to have to grind down the corner of the blue anodized compression knob. Has anyone had a similar problem?

spankthewan: one dude on a swedish forum im member on had the same issue but on his Tweet Tweet and he made spacers for the steerercrown to stack the headset but its not a solution i would recomend you. Fabricate your oun set of caps insted of doing something irrational.

I've done quite a few custom mods on my bikes so here goes:

80mm Totem Solo Air on my dirt jump bike:

4spd Dura Ace on a Chris King SS hub with X0 der. and Dura Ace chain.

Compression ring for a Chris King headset

The fork on the STP is comprised of: Reba uppers and Moco, Pike lowers, Argyle spring internals.

X9 der. pulley in MRP G2 - significantly less drag

XT m971 crankset on a 83mm bb Intense M6

really simple but it dropped M6 travel to 8" and my bashgaurd stopped hitting the ground as much

Shortened the stroke of the DHX, 12.9" bb, 65 ha

Sand papered pedals rock, especially in the wet. Good work.

Just removed the cable guides and rim brake bosses from my old Ellsworth hardtail (run it single speed). Custom paint coming next.

I also removed the disc brake mounts and custom painted my Argyle, but I don't have it here to take photos.

Is that the one you rode in the Jib series? I think I'll have to dig up those videos sometime soon.

Yeah, same one. Now it serves as my wife's BMX/skatepark machine.

Got sick of the fork on my XC bike not getting full travel so I hacksawed the compression rod down to increase the air capacity. Works perfectly now
11/25/2010 12:32pm
shortened the stroke on the V120 to reduce it to 8.5inches of travel
