Looks really nice, but there is a serious price creep going on, most of the models don't really count as "good value" due to some cheapish components. I guess they have to pay for those weekly sick videos and the massive DH team somehow!

Or at least it is a "good" pretext to accelerate the price rocket-shipping.

Since when Commençal decided to go consumer-direct they never cease to raise prices, year after year (or downgrading components, which is the same).
Other brands did it too, compensating for growing hourly rate and raw materials and all, but I don't think it's on the same scale...

Can't leave it alone.

So... my problem, like I said, is that only the 50T grew into the 52T, which is obvious why it was done - only one chainring or one subcomponent of the cassette was changed. Doing it properly would require a new machined stack (XX1 and X01) or new stamped sprockets (GX, NX?). the 32-10 stack can stay the same, then i'd change the 36T into a 37T, while the 42T can become either a 43T or a 44T, depending on how you want to do the last two jumps.

The ratios are thus such:
Sram 12spd: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36-42-50
Sram extended: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-36-42-52
Sram smooth 43: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-37-43-52
Sram smooth 44: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-37-44-52

Shimano: 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-33-39-45-51

Above graph with Shimano added: https://i.imgur.com/dTz3BfD.png

Shimano does it quite a bit differently with larger jumps starting when the cassette goes above the 30T mark and then they lower the jumps down.

I actually just checked the spec for the signature model. 5 grand european and you get a full XT build? With 2-pot brakes? And XM1700 wheelsets (350 hubs, welded rims)?

Are they out of their minds???

Considering the clash is currently a split pivot, it's more likely hiding the new AM frame that's in line looks wise with the TR and the HT.

Pretty sure it's just the old one. Isabeau even replied to a comment about there being a new one coming "Negative" (of course taken with a grain of salt).

Or possibly a Furious style single crown bike. A freeride Furious. The design and layout look very similar.

I'd bet my left ball the AM will be essentially a META TR with a 230x60/65 shock and a bit more progression.

I was really hoping for a high idler with half a mile of rearward axle path but I doubt that would come to fruition.

I'm absolutely jizzing over my 2020 AM29, be crazy to imagine how good the new one would be.

EDIT : the ZEB (or another component, but don't know which one if this isn't the ZECool is under embargo to the 07/07.

Is that a new Phoenix29? It would be great if it comes with adjustable BB height and chainstay length to allow the frame to run mullet.

It’s the normal Phoenix 29 but with a custom paint job. Nothing special here
