Seems Hope and Trek are off the table, as he is only tagging Endura and long time sponsors Silverline Tools and Fox.

Athertons on Norco / fox? Or Scott / fox.

I dont remember being it mentioned already but Maribor is coming back, pretty much guaranteed for 2020, maybe already in 2019, possibly a week after/before Lošinj. In case somebody understands Slovenian, although the interviewers reaction might be selfexplainatory Woohoo
edit -Quick translation:
Cmon, tell me when can we expect next wc race in Maribor:
If everything goes accoriding to plan, late april early may 2019

That's pretty much it, supposedly confirmed for 2020 and not yet exactly known for 2019. The thing is there are flyers on Lošinj that they are also in the running for 2019. And preliminary calendars for 2019 have an early March (probably a fly away race) and late April (Lošinj date on the flyer) event planned with end of May for round 3 or something like that, while the 2020 calendar has first two events planned on end of April and beginning of May.

If I was a betting man, I would say either one for 2019 (given the uci rarely gives 2 years of an event from the start - Lošinj) and both of them in 2020 (the IXS round in Maribor was a week before Lošinj this year for example.

It was said the final calendar would be published in lenzerheide during the worlds... I didn't see anything published yet.

It‘s not Norco, it‘s their factory team... That means nothing at all...

Well funny connection: Snoop is an investor in Canopy Growth Corporation here in Canada, who certainly have enough money these days to do whatever they want. If somebody pitches them the right goods for a WC team, you could kill both those birds.

Brendog back on fox/marzocchi??
Also back on the old linkage of the Gambler in that shot, not the prototype rocker he was running all season.

Brendog back on fox/marzocchi??
Doubtful. He’s on his old rampage bike, probably more comfortable to hit big jumps on than the newer bike and suspension. Fully destickered lowers also

- danny going to whistler to test 29er again
The Dean Lucas interview is quite interesting, lots of vague info in there.

59:26 of the podcast(or the picture of Dean in the slideshow)

It's almost too vague to make any real statements from it, so you'll just have to listen.

Something like Dean, Jack and Connor are the only ones who haven't signed. Some bad blood maybe between Gwin and 23Degrees.

Cool, thanks. Did Nico tell anything interesting apart from maybe the stuff about Maes (which he said in WynTV already)?

Thats a crap excuse from Gwin to be honest (and he always does have some kind of excuse) he was super fast and knows he is on the 27.5" wheel bike and with the injury he had he should of just jumped back on the old bike for the worlds, why go into something so major not feeling comfortable ? A 27.5" bike won it after all oh and come second and came 3rd!

His body language sucked sitting next to Martin Maes in 2nd position to, very poor sportsmanship turning your back on someone.

i think gwin is always pretty bummed when he doesn‘t get first because of a mistake or so and it shows after his race run. and he was talking to martin whitley while sitting next to maes, think the cameras didn‘t catch that properly

In Loics insta story I think it was he mentioned that one of his goals for next year is to design a new Demo frame. Don't think there was much uncertainty in that partnership but that should add some clarity to any rumors that come up.

seems legit since he didn‘t like that new 29er prototype he was seen on in whistler as far as i heard.

since apparently brendog wasn't happy w/ the homepaging of this pic and asked us to take it down, you're probably right.

When a perfectionist, super elite athlete like Gwin talks about needing to get a better feel for his bike, we have good reason to believe him. He finished 1.5 seconds back from Bruni. We're not talking about a sucky run here. We're talking about the minute difference in pushing too hard and railing a turn and pushing tooo hard and losing traction. Or subconsciously grabbing too much brake in a section. Go check out Dirt's Geek Stats and see for yourself. He did super well in the tight "non-29er" corners but lost time elsewhere most likely due to not being 110% in tune with his bike. Is it a crap excuse? Assuredly not. Was it a poor equipment choice? Perhaps.

As for him being unsportsmanlike, you are simply choosing to interpret his body language in the worst possible way. I'm no Gwin Superfan, but let's be honest about what went down and not twist it to fit your narrative. While he clearly wants to win, he never says anything bad about his competition. That's just not his style.

Thank you for the logic and intelligent response onenerdykid*. What the cameras didn't show was he was talking to a few folks out of picture as well. Later he is sitting there chilin like the rest of them

Ill do this point form.

· A friend working with Kona has yet to make any comment about Connor Fearon leaving Kona and they are generally very good at keeping me in the loop. Connor gets treated well by Kona and so I really cant see him moving on.

· As for this whole Specialized working on the 29er Demo and Loic being such a hater... I didnt get a ton of info but a friend of mine working for Specialized had this to say when I asked him about this 29er Demo prototype and what he knew "All I am going to say is what a fucking cluster fuck and fuck the frenchies"... Next time I see him I'll be sure to bug him a bit more to find out what I can.

· I strongly Believe Charlie Harrison is going to be on the move. Lots of different rumours of why but I have a source that says that the other two on that team arent 100% fans of his. I could very much see him moving to the YT mob or elsewhere for next year... Maybe Neko has to find a new home?

Thats all I got for now... I do like the idea of Loris moving to Norco though!

Windham 2019?
Interesting. When I listened to the Martin Whitley podcast he mentioned a return for the WC to the USA, but I was under the impression it would be on the west coast. Gasp, could we be getting two WC rounds since the US is geographically so large?

The US being so large is a contributing factor to why they aren't more rounds in the USA. Most brands aren't equipped for it, as most of the support is in Euroland. Have two rounds, one east coast & one west coast, would piss off the teams and sponsors more than anything. Having two rounds close together (like previously with MSA/Bromont, MSA/Windham, etc. etc.) is more likely. If you are going to have multiple WC races in the USA, it needs to be more easily manageable than problematic.

That’s too bad if they do Windham again, it’s a tiny place in the middle of nowhere NY. Killington is eying a bid for a World Cup race in the near future. At least Killington has the infrastructure to host an event like a World Cup race.

Loïc had an "interview" that was featured on Pinkbike's IG story yesterday: about his 2019 goals he declared "developing a sick new demo". We can assume the Specialized Gravity team is still on with Bruni on board.

Kona Source says Connor Fearon signed for another 3 years... Just hasn't been announced.
