Blimey, Raymond Orre from Reunion Island 3rd in the 40-44 category! That's a blast from the past. I spent a few days riding with him when I was doing a privateer season in France 20 years ago.

Impressive! Doubt his competitors did a couple 5 minute intervals down a gnarly World Cup downhill track yesterday! Misser gets the Tomac award (heck, don't know if Tomac ever won a downhill and then an XC race the next day).
Wow that was the hardest race I've ever done, but the most rewarding in so many ways.
My Jedi saved my ass more times than I can count this week. When I cased the shit out of a high speed gap, a random dude standing nearby rolls over, looks at the bike, and Canadian as ever deadpans "good thing you're riding a Jedi". Me and my buddy died laughing.
Watching Chris Canfield take the win from the finish line was epic. Warp speed!!!. My buddy who also rides a Jedi was walking through the lot after finals, and got "Hey are you Chris Canfield??" Ha ha, sorry pal.
I'm so glad I didn't drop out of the race when the rain came and made a fierce course much scarier. Wadded it up a few times in the wet, but survived and finished. Classic example of type 2 fun. It's great once you've survived and it's all over.
