Looks like Lewis Buchanan is for sure riding for Trek.

In this photo if you look left of the shifter, the design on the polished looking carbon bar is the new Bontrager Line Carbon 35mm bar. Those grips are also bontrager grips. I have taken photos of both the bar I am talking about and the grips. I took some photos of the parts so you can compare them to his Instagram snap video... I only caught this because I just brought that bar home from the shop I work at to put on my bike haha.

He's deffo on Trek, past him yesterday at Inners and he was on a Slash/Remedy.

More Enduro news today: Ibis moves to Fox/Shimano setup, and FBM joins them as an independent. With him and Buchanan out, is BMC getting out of the enduro game?

It would fit the BMC changes I noticed. A marketing guy who was involved in MTB left and when I talked to them last year in autumn they did not seem to have much space for the "Enduro segment".

Maybe they are also pushing the e-bike things? And of course have a more then decent road bike team.

Here's the official PR regarding Ibis:

Santa Cruz, CA - In only its second year of existence the Ibis Cycles Enduro Race Team made its mark on the 2016 Enduro World Series season taking 2nd overall in the team competition, 3rd overall in the women’s field - Anita Gehrig, and 3rd overall in the U21 competition.  For 2017 the team returns with the same core group of riders, plus some new additions and new sponsors to help them achieve even greater results in the new season.

“We are insanely proud of what the team achieved last year, and we’re really looking forward to the new season” Said Ibis president and team manager, Tom Morgan. “The team has really taken on the personality of Ibis, sort of the - ‘Little Team That Could’. It takes a lot more than just talent and training to make all this work, and this group is resourceful, determined, and professional. At the same time, they are easy-going and friendly too.”

Returning for their third year with the team, Anita and Carolin Gehrig, the “twin towers” from Switzerland hope to continue their rise to the top of the women’s field. When 2016 was over, Anita ranked 3rd overall and Carolin 5th, with Anita achieving her first podium finish - 2nd in Aspen, CO.

Coming back for his second year with the team is Robin Wallner from Sweden. For 2016 Robin was ranked 14th overall, and achieved two top 10 results.

Also returning is Dillon Santos of Salinas, CA. In 2016 Dillon took 3rd at the Sea Otter Classic and won the 3rd round of the California Enduro Series at Toro Park.

New additions to the team include Zakarias Johansen of Norway, and team mechanic and road manager Mats Pettersson. Zakarias is moving up to contest a full season of EWS racing after dominating the SRAM/Specialized Enduro series last year.

Returning team sponsors include POC, Maxxis, Joystick, Lizard Skins and Honey Stinger. New team sponsors include Fox Racing Shocks, Shimano, Feedback Sports and Five Ten.

And, we're extremely excited to announce...

FBM!

Also, riding on an independent program for Ibis in the EWS this year will be François Bailly-maître. Since its founding, François has been one of the most consistent top 10 finishers in the EWS, at 8th overall in 2016, 11th in 2015 and 8th in 2014.

According to Bailly-maître - “It was a strange off-season for me before contacting Ibis. Despite 2016 probably being my best season ever, I was struggling to find the good deal, but from the first time I spoke with Ibis, I directly felt the positive vibes and their motivation to have me on board. Once I received the Mojo HD3, I built it up quickly, and the first impressions were really good! I was a bit concerned as I only rode a 29er the last 4 years, but the geometry and the DW-Link system seems to work really well. The dry winter we’re having has given me the chance to test it and I am already at home! I already want to say a big thanks to Ibis, and I am looking forward to an incredible season!”

Canyon DH team is official with Troy Brosnan, Ruaridh Cunningham and Mark Wallace!
--------------------------------

THE CANYON FACTORY DOWNHILL TEAM IS HERE
KOBLENZ --- Canyon can finally put an end to months of rumors and speculation - the all-new Canyon Factory Downhill Team is here. Leading the charge will be World Cup winner Troy Brosnan of Australia, together with Canada’s next big thing, Mark Wallace, and former Junior World Champion, Ruaridh Cunningham of Scotland. The Canyon Factory Downhill Team (CFDT) will be gunning for individual, team and overall wins aboard the Canyon Sender CF on the UCI Downhill World Cup circuit, as well as other top-flight downhill events throughout the season.

The goal of the CFDT is to equip the best riders in the world with the best setup, and provide them with a team and support system unlike any other on the scene. Leading up the project is multiple World Champion, Fabien Barel, who will, in his own words, be responsible for ‘‘putting the right people and the right structure together to bring our bike and our riders up on the podium.’’

‘‘Our bike’’ will be the Sender CF. Troy, Ruaridh and Mark will be the first riders to race Canyon’s flagship downhill bike at World Cup level. Canyon is eager to work with the team to receive in-depth feedback and further advance the company’s mountain bike and downhill technologies. Barel, whose role in the Canyon Development Team drove the creation of both Strive and Sender models, echoed the sentiment saying, ‘‘I believe that downhill is the Formula One of bike racing and that more generally racing is the best method for developing a bike. Being at the top of the World Cup circuit with our bike will definitely raise the bar for the performance and technology of the product and hopefully bring us to a new level!’’

After a busy off-season including extensive testing and visiting Koblenz to see the Canyon facilities and meet the engineers, the riders are just as excited about the new partnership. For Troy, ‘‘it has been amazing for me coming to Canyon. It’s really like a small family where you know all of the right people, in all of the right places, and if you want something done, it doesn’t have to go through too many people to actually get to the top.’’

The team’s staff will be rounded out by Team Manager Mathieu Gallean, Head Mechanic Nigel Reeve, Troy’s Personal Mechanic Aaron Pelttari and Mechanic Yoann Jurgaud.

The CFDT will work with Mavic, SRAM, RockShox and Maxxis.

Sounds like a good fit, they must be adding someone to the roster since Manon is off the team.
