I'm probably looking to Deep into this as Troy has probably shifted through a lot of old memories looking back at 7 years with Specialized... but he is tagging Sam Hill a hell of a lot recently, I can't see Troy going to enduro I think he made it pretty clear that isn't his game and I can't see chain reaction having a DH squad for 2017.... I'm probably reading into it too much.
Adios, au revoir, goodbye... After 3 years with the COMMENCAL family, Remy Metailler is moving onto new things.
Thank you Rémy, for your professionalism, your taste for style and your management of the perfect image.
To remember these good times we've put together a mini-edit that we believe sums this all up pretty well.
Good luck to you and remember that our Andorran door is always open!
official PR from polygon with vid embedded

For 2017 we want to keep the same direction as last year by supporting again the fastest world cup privateer so we are very happy to welcome in the Polygon UR family Kenta Gallagher , 24 year old from Scotland and if his name is unusual for you it's because he is half asian from his mothers side.
His name or the fact that he was the fastest world cup privateer are not his only singularity as back in 2013 Kenta has already won a World Cup in XC Eliminator race in Nove Mesto.
After some good results in the world of professional XC, Kenta followed his heart and made the switch to downhill racing in 2015. So yes it's only been 2 years that Kenta has been racing world cup DH and he has already achieved 2 top 20 and a 39th at the world cup overall.
Kenta's focus will be on the UCI world cup DH but he will also be doing half of the EWS circuit, as you will see in his video below he is confortable on any kind of bike.
" I'm so happy to have an opportunity on a team like this so early into my downhill career. I had planned 3 years maximum to get on a team so for it to come after the second season I'm so happy! Mainly the backing and support at races that I think will push me forward and the chance to ride with everyone in a team environment should be great! Roll on 2017! Well excited! "
Fabien Cousiné - Team owner / Rider :
" Last year hiring the fastest privateer rider of the circuit was a really good decision because with Alexandre Fayolle we've got some amazing results with even a world cup podium and i have a similar feeling for Kenta !
As a former privateer world cup racer i remember the struggle , so what Kenta has done in just 2 years is to me something really special .
For Kenta to step back from a professional XC career with a stable life to having to work part time in a cafe to go race DH as a privateer is to me one the highest sign of passion and dedication for the sports that i ever seen.
So that is a real pleasure to support him and i'm very confident that Kenta will fit perfectly in the " Dream Ride Share " team spirit with his positive , laid back and hard working attitude . "
So UR team have a new rider, can't help but notice in all their vids very little is mentioned and showed towards needles. He's been pretty quiet on social media lately. He didn't have the best year with a tonne of mechanical issues. Hope he's still on UR

They are saying that it's Gstaad Scott for 2017. Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Gstaad just announce that they are parting ways with Scott?
Yes it's true, should be a mistake from swiss cycling or just the fact that it's still 2016 so the name of the team did not already change on the site.
When does every team have to submit their squad to the UCI?
This came up a few years ago as some team colours and names got leaked before some press releases, i think it was the 1st of jan or maybe second week of jan.
It is weird that now some people assumed to be switching teams are only posting throwback pictures on instagram. Might be a gray area, since they are technically posting pictures of their current sponsors bikes, but not really promoting the ones on the market now, keeping their new sponsor happy.
leatt for minaar? aren't they south african? would be cool
My take on this is that Greg deserves better aesthetics. As does Sam, as a matter of fact. But we'll see what he'll rock. The OGK Kabuto news is interesting because he had a business with Martin Whiteley distributing their goods. I always thought they had good products, but a rather shy presence and I don't believe it's because Martin or Greg don't know their game. I mean, you almost couldn't find proper online information on their flagship models except on their Japanese site that caters to a pretty limited audience. I feel they deserved a better fate.
Speaking of helmet deals, I'm wondering if Laurie will be again on Fox this year, which always looked a bit odd, considering their team ties with Alpinestars and, in more recent years, Dainese. I guess we'll see about that.

pretty sure these contracts are calendar year deals. nobody will be posting anything officially related to changes until or after the 1st . if you're referring to brosnan i think he's just doing it as a big thanks to S for all they've accomplished together to close out the year.

Yoann Barelli on a yellow Commencal?
Im sure someone else will shed some light on it
Vestavik on Fox/Shimano
He is still riding his Devincis.
André Wagenknecht quitting pro enduro racing, so a spot open at Cube?

We are some big ass nerds, aren't we? :D
