Eddie Masters AND Brook Macdonald Predict Lousa World Cup Downhill 2 5

The Bulldog throws down his own form sorcery, too.

Lousa World Cup DH race two is less than 24 hours away and Eddie Masters is back to make predictions for the last meaningful downhill event of 2020. He's gone the extra mile to get additional predictions from Brook Macdonald, too. If any humans on planet earth have the telepathic inside line to accurate race predictions, it's Eddie and Brook. Let it be known that these predictions were made before qualifying this morning, but New Zealand is in the future compared to the U.S., so maybe they're cheating. -gordo // photos by @maddogboris and Dan Hearn

Eddie's Take

Here's how it plays out. Loris Vergier is fired up. He’s angry, and with the overall on the line, he can’t be stopped. Not even by a confidently inspired Greg Minnaar. Finn Iles studied his splits from Race 1 and knows that he can be on the podium, delivering just that. Finn lands just ahead of  Bruni (who rides perfectly but without the ‘risk it for the biscuit’ approach of the Top 3). Matt Walker goes all out and lands yet another podium. Either that or he wins the whole race, 5th or 1st for the kid.

Pompon puts on a clinic and pulls time down the whole track. Tahnee finds her feet and swaps podium spots with Marine from race 1. Tracey savors the moment in her last World Cup race and finishes her career with a 4th place finish. World Champ, Camille Balanche, bumps Nina Hoffman out of the hot seat and finishes the year with a 5th place and a spot on the box.
