Strange. The current (and just updated Range) is being carried forward in NA. If I had to guess that's actually the new VLT sight but with a long travel treatment akin to the current one going 170/160 in some models for 2025.

Yeah, it looks just like the next gen Sight coming out next year. Would be strange for Norco to drop the Range in travel from 180/170 to 170/160. I love the big travel of the Range and would be bummed to miss out on it.

Not sure where I read, probably here LOL, it but it sounds like the Range is being phased out and they will go with two Sights, regular and long-travel and the Range will be replaced by the new DH bike. Probably cheaper to keep the Sight covering two categories with the same frame with different shocks and bring the in-development DH bike for the >180mm travel folks.
I'd hope to see them increase the seat tube insertion on the 150 to be similar to the 170 with a straight tube.
I can't seem to find that IG post anymore but if I remember reading it right the S150 is going to be MX which would give them the ability to move the pivot point and make the seat tube straight like the 170 bikes.
Any news on a new nomad ? Surely must be coming soon.with similar changes to Bronson ?
The Bronson is a big burly frame for a "trail bike", and there's much room between the rear wheel and the seat tube when bottomed out so I wouldn't be surprised you could get significantly more than 150mm of travel with a longer stroke shock.
The only thing a little disappointing with the zink bike is the shortest reach being 464. For a freeride bike i think something a little shorter in the 450 range would have been ideal. Im only 5'9" and can ride 460 reach but for a play bike it would be a little bit much
Has anyone heard news about CRC, Nukeproof and Vitus? Last I heard someone bought everything, but that was months ago… That VT-01 downhill proto from Vitus was pretty badass and was the perfect next iteration both for the Dominer and for the Sommet, not sure if it would have worked also for the Escarpe, but with a shorter shock…

IIRC CRC/wiggle inventory was bought by sports direct (got a great deal on Sam Hill signature pedals few weeks ago, I believe they are still in stock), but I dont think there has been any development on IP...

This - Sports Direct (Mike Ashley..) bought it all up. They also operate Evans Cycles - if you go to their site you'll see some bits and pieces but its not a great shop. General view is that Mike Ashley is a parasite and tends to strip anything of value from his stores - Evans Cycles used to be a well respected family run group of shops, with good quality kit.. Not anymore. I'd be surprised if he isnt trying to sell the NP branding and IP as it actually has value, but he'll probably want more than its actually worth.

I'm interested in getting one for sure! FYI Jeff- link to known Chain Mag Sizing is 404.
Thats interesting if it doesnt have any negative effect on pedaling. If its a low enough break away force to not have to pedal any harder it could be cool. Im wondering if the bike going through its suspension could generate enough force to bring it off the magnet though

Thanks for the post (and noting the broken link). I just took care of it.
As to the questions...
1) Its pretty light. The low variant has a smaller magnet and weighs ~66 grams (total) whereas the medium and tall variant have larger magnets and weigh ~88 grams (total). These are untrimmed numbers.
2) While pedaling, there is zero additional friction. Pedaling forces always pull the chain off the magnet (immediately, you will not notice it). Also, while in the higher part of your cassette (say, climbing) the magnet is further from the chain and the force significantly weaker, which is by design.

Side point here, we know its a bit of a pain to bust out the tape measure to figure out what size Chain Mag you need. Anyone who takes the time to do this for a bike we haven't catalogued yet and emails it to me, I'll fire you a 30% off code. Jeff AT ralibike.com
160/150 MX, 420 chainstays, 64-65 HA, 300mm seat tube insertion. That sounds like a radically fun bike Zink, stoked to hear more.
Yup, I've had one on order for a while.
They are up on the Norco website now.

Honestly I wish Zink lurked here and would have named his new company Crab Bikes and gave us a sick crab head tube badge.

Forestal just dropped their first non-ebikes, I think they're looking pretty clean.
S150 tomorrow…
There’s another countdown on intend instagram
Could be that shock, could be the trail caliper 🤷🏼♂️
Maybe it's a 9th fork model.
Norco dropped their Sight 160 online today - full build with the long stroke.

Weird sizing

It completely dwarves the V1 Megatower.

Edit:
atherton s.150 launch video
Wow! That head tube area is hideous!
Smart design though given where the frame stresses are.
Agreed. Unpopular opinion to have around these parts, but there's something very plumbing-esque about it.

I just watched the video and it looks like it calms it down quite a bit. How much does that effect ride? Looks like a similar effect maybe to the stfu
What about those of us in the market for a chain dampener? Anything in the works?
How much weight does that add? Permanent magnets aren't exactly light
Don’t bother, it’d just get all rusty.
Thanks for the post (and noting the broken link). I just took care of it.

Cheers and thx for the support!
Where do you store the liquid for the dampening?
