Carbon fiber or aluminum. 29 or MX wheels. It's your call – with this drop, they've brought more choice than ever to their EDR-winning platform.

Model Features

With the latest CAPRA range, YT brings new frame material options to the party. Whether seeking an entry-level or high-performance components package, riders can choose between aluminum or carbon fiber at CORE 2 and 3 levels, offering choice to those valuing a lower price point or the lightweight, tuned performance of High Modulus carbon fiber. The CORE 1 and 4 are available exclusively in aluminum and Ultra Modulus carbon respectively, and each model in the range can be picked up in either a 29" or MX wheel configuration.

There's been some spec shifts to target rider confidence, too. Each model receives size-specific bar rises – 30mm on S-M, 40mm for the L-XXL – which improves body positioning and control on steep terrain. Stopping power is leveled up across all models, with each CORE level receiving a 220/200mm rotor combo alongside a highly regarded Continental Kryptotal FR/RE Enduro casing tire package, including a new Supersoft front variant. Lastly, they equip each CORE model with the latest YT Postman V2 dropper post, with revised internals, adjustable travel, and a maximum of 230mm drop (size XXL).

Spec

YT has a keen eye for bang-for-buck pricing, and this year is no different. Starting at CORE 1, you'll find components built for maximum reliability and easy setup. A Marzocchi Z1 Bomber fork, Bomber Air reach shock, and powerful SRAM DB8 brakes all feature, as well as a YT cockpit, Shimano DEORE 12- speed drivetrain, and Sunrringle wheelset. They cut no corners at this price point, and even supply this model with an eThirteen chainguide and Cane Creek headset.

The CORE 2 brings an extra degree of performance, and YT goes the extra mile here. Available in both aluminum and carbon fiber, this bike comes loaded with a 170mm RockShox ZEB up front, and a Vivid Select out back with hydraulic bottom-out adjustment to dust off heavy landings. Shifting moves to Shimano's SLX level drivetrain, with the important detail of an XT level shifter for Rapidfire ratio changes and improved feel. The YT MOB favorite TRP DH-R brakes bring DH-inspired power, while a DT Swiss E1900 wheelset, SDG Bel Air 3.0 saddle, and YT cockpit keep the parts list fully dialed.

As a favorite of the brand's UNCAGED builds, the CORE 3 packs an Öhlins RXF38 M.2 fork and TTX22 M.2 coil shock, and like the CORE 2, is available in both aluminum and carbon. Highlights include a SRAM T-Type Transmission drivetrain with GX cassette and wireless S1000 mech, race-proven Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels, and TRP DH-R Evo brakes. The finishing details stand out here; a Title cockpit, ODI grips, and Crankbrothers SOS Stash Tool.

\Atop the food chain sits the CORE 4, and as a high-performance choice, it's only available in YT's top level Ultra-Modulus carbon fiber. At this spec, riders receive the latest FOX 38 Factory fork with GRIPX2 damper and DHX2 coil shock to maximize adjustment. The drivetrain combines SRAM's X0 Eagle crankset and GX Transmission for optimal shifting performance under load, while the Maven brakes unleash brutal stopping power. Finishing this build, the Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels are equipped with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs for rapid engagement, while the cockpit consists of a YT-exclusive, blacked-out Renthal Apex stem and Fatbar.
