Great now vital Mtb is shoving the BLM movement down my throat. Can't we leave political movements out of this and just ride? This is getting rediculous!

Maybe I will. You have to remember that topics like these polarize the overall community.

And about 50% of the nation disagree with how the movement is being handled. (Possibly more)

Keep all of it out... And Vital will be much better off

CNN and so on only talk about peaceful protests and activists.
Please guys, don't believe them or me. Look it up for yourself. Since day one of the protests there have been many violent riots, man huntings, people been beaten into hospital or killed, along them some black policemen and civilists. The last issiue cannot be the goal of a protest tor black people's rights, can it?
Look up the leaders which are highly racist themselves against other skin colors, some of their twitter posts sound as 3rd Reich race theory texts and some of them say themselves, they are Marxists and want to overthrow the democratic capitalist system and instead want socialsm, of course (their posts and own videos) . And 150 million corpses know how well the efforts to try real socialism worked out in history ;-) capital hill demonstrated it again in only a few days.
Dont listen to what someone told you. Look it up yourself in live videos and statements of the mentioned people. See for yourself and think instead of attacking people whose opinions oppose your view that some anker guys told you. It is just like Kindergarten " my Dad said".... "BUT MY DAD SAID " That is not the way on which you should build your view of things. If you always believe somebody because HE SAYS SO you can be told everything and manipulated as those persons wish.

You are right. MTB is such an institutionalized racist sport where minorities are not allowed to take part in and are hindered with violance from getting on a bike and enjoy riding with their friends. And now you privileged whity get of your bike and give it to a BIPoc of your choice just for he is a minority and you are a white supremacist and thus less worth than him. Remember that.

PS white people only make up 9% of the world population and of course are majorities in their countries. Every nationality is in ITS own country.... Surprise

It is a movement with a complete political agenda!

And fine! It's great you choose to support it. However I use mountain biking as an escape from life. And I disagree that this is the place for it.

Just saying leave it All out! All of it!

Someone wearing a t shirt equates to "shoved down my throat"? Advocating for black people to not be routinely beaten/killed by cops is a political agenda?
Good riddance if you're off to find a new community - you're not welcome here anyway if that's how you feel.

It is NOT a human rights movement and it is totally politically based!

I could get behind a BLM movement if that was indeed what it was really about! Instead it's supporters (not all I grant you) often are hurting the communities and people they are claiming to support. They do this by rioting, destroying stores, stealing and hurting people in these African American neighborhoods.
Whats funny is when you look at these protests/riots a good portion of the people there are College age Caucasian kids bused in from the suburbs or professional protestors bused in from other communities and states.

Not to mention this movement only seems to get outraged when it is a police officer that kills someone. Even in the cases that it was justified, which many of them were. (The Floyd case does NOT fall into that category)
If it were a real human rights movement, an equal amount of outrage (if not more) would be applied to the black on black violence that is consuming these communities everyday! Especially in the situations where a gang bangers stray bullet kills an innocent member of these communities. ( For example young children) This example happens all the time.
Now you give me a movement that supports that... I will get behind it all the way!

Then there is the silly suggestion to dissolve the police force in these communities. Which is just a rediculous idea! I for one am thankful for the men and women (black, white, or otherwise) who put their lives on the line each day to keep our families safe! And I won't support the idea to get rid of them based on the actions of the minority opposed to the majority.

I also refuse to be apologetic for the supposed privilege I have that nobody can seem to define for me. Talk about an assumption and a loaded statement! This movement predfines me as a racist just based on the color of my skin and tells me that I should be sorry for who I am. And this movement also suggests that anyone who is African American has the cards stacked against them and cannot do anything without help. Which in itself is a prejudice thought.

There are many other examples I could give. But this movement is hypocritical at best and you are welcome to support it if you like. Same goes for this website.

But I choose not too. So yes! I'm tired of this movement being shoved down my throat every where I look. Especially in places doesn't belong like here.

As stated before, you show me a BLM movement that supports the real issues I mentioned above, and doesn't use violence and intimidation to get what they want and doesn't interject polical bias in to their messaging... And I'll be right there marching with you!

Until then how about focusing on issues that will really help the people in these communities if people insist on waving a flag. Like ridding poverty by getting people off welfare and back to work. Or ridding these neighborhoods of gangs. Or feeding the homeless. I don't care choose one or all of them. But this movement (the BLM movement) in general is just as hateful and hypocritical as the things they claim to be against.

If you don't believe me, look at some of the responses I got here.
Oh and if you "Thumbs Down" my comments here... you obviously must have prejudices because you don't believe in fixing anything I said above. Including saving children (Now obviously that's not true statement and it's stupid to even say!) but it's the same type of logic the BLM movement makes in their argument. I hope you can see how ridiculous those types of statements are! Case closed

It’s really sad to see you getting down voted for stating facts. If you don’t believe what he said do some research and learn to think critically. It’s a tall order these days but it can be done if you take a few steps back and look at things subjectively and quit believing the propaganda that is being shouted.

As I heard of the Floyd issue, I did not bother to watch official or independent media and instead just looked up official police and FBI statistics as well as some statements of the founders and leading BLM heads themselves and some of their posts on Twitter. Then some videos of those nice riots and man huntings that are too brutal for many people to watch and the info how many BLACK people and black police men died during those riots that were meant to be FOR Black people. No further questions asked. Full of ideology leading to inciting people against each other. All lives matter, black and white unite should be the credo.

Even worse, they refuse to acknowledge facts and view these things with an open mind. The media and schools are indoctrinating, (brainwashing) these kids and that’s just wrong. Anyway Vital, please leave politics out of mountain biking, it doesn’t belong.

You're correct! Indoctrination at its finest. And sadly the person often doesn't even know.

And when someone does have a differing opinion, they are often guilt tripped, threatened, or accused of racisim until they submit or are forced to stay quiet.

Again evidence is right here in the replies. Either way I'll get off my soap box.. as a you and a few others have already said. I would rather keep politics out of here.

A small portion is opinion you are correct. But a large portion Is indeed fact! (Just to clarify for you) which part isn't true?...
- That this movement isn't rioting and destroying property? Oh wait yes they are.

As for being "privileged'.
As I stated before... what that means is NOT well defined at all! And it is constantly being edited and amended to included what ever the movement needs to aid them in making their point.
Just like words and terms that keep being outlawed by the "PC police."
What's funny is that the "PC police" have started saying so many words are bad and racist to say, that they themselves are getting confused and getting wrapped up in it.

Don't believe me? Just look up what words were being used by people with your point of view a few years ago. Now half of them are considered taboo.

That's not an opinion that's just fact!

I get why people are so quick to label people like me a racist. Its easier to go with the flow then to have a differing opinion. People by nature don't like to stand out and it's easier to be just part of the flock. But it's funny that I don't have to attack any of you directly to make my point.
