Let's kick things off with the Transfer dropper. Thanks in large part to a clever new saddle clamp design, the post is an impressive 30 to 50mm shorter overall than the old model. FOX says you should be able to increase the amount of travel you use by roughly 25-50mm (1-2") with the new post compared to the previous Transfer, depending on your frame’s max insertion depth and other variables.
Improved serviceability is another big highlight, made possible by the easily accessible collar design. It allows you to perform a quick lower leg tuneup to keep things running as smoothly as possible. Full service still needs to be performed by an authorized FOX service center.
Finally, the new 1X lever features improved ergonomics for easier operation and weighs a bit less at just 33.5g.

The big news for the FOX 34 fork is the addition of a new GRIP2 damper option with Variable Valve Control (VVC) on both the high-speed compression and high-speed rebound circuits. It differs from typical adjusters that add valve preload, VVC uses a leaf spring to alter the valve flex or stiffness. FOX claims that the adjusters now provide the same range as revalving the fork, but without the the need for disassembly. This could be key for light and heavy riders especially. Unlike the new 36, 38, and 40 forks, FOX kept the 34 lowers similar to their 2020 forks.
